its the regular season and they have peyton manning
I'm not big on PR's, but im surprised to see how unanimously every major site has them as #1.
its the regular season and they have peyton manning
Very true. He's a regular season God. He just isnt himself in the cold and when the pressure is on. Imho, I think it has more to do with the cold. He sucked last year in the regular season during cold games. He looked like absolute @New England when it was snowing. He looked incredible against them during the warm weather in the post season.
There's no denying he has mental issues, but it seems like the cold s with him both physically and mentally.
Peyton isn't even that bad in the cold iirc. He's the regular season GOAT, so he elevates teams whose flaws (his included) get more exposed in the playoffs. I doubt the Broncos make it far last year without Peyton as their D was not good, largely because of injuries. He's no Montana in the clutch but then who is.
I do think they'll go down in rankings after this week, where I expect them to get butt ed by Seattle. The PEDs and piped in noise will be off the charts.
Obviously they are not much without Peyton, but I disagree with the defense thing. They started off very strong but had a serious injury every single game. I believe their 3rd string defense was playing in the superbowl.
This ranking is too subjective. Its easy to put a 2-0 Denver team on top, but their victories at home haven't been impressive. If this poll was really objective, Buffalo would be number one. They've been the most impressive so far. Road win at Chicago and a blowout victory at home against Miami has been more impressive.
They are going by how good they thought they were in the beginning too probably. And whipping up on two mediocre teams doesn't mean that much.
The media slurps Fivehead for a living, so they were just waiting for any excuse to rank them #1![]()
The Broncos beat two playoff teams, no other team can say that. I do think it's wrong to have some teams starting off playing double home games while some start off with a double road trip. Why they do that...??? I have no stat/trend on that but I'm pretty sure teams start off better playing at home two weeks in a row than on the road. I doubt the Saints are 0-2 vs they'd had a home game.
Right now and it really doesn't matter because it's way too early...but...the Bengals look good.
Fivehead IS the flaw that gets exposed in the playoffs
His insistence on being the de facto head coach and offensive coordinator and his tendency to melt down when things don't go exactly the way he planned always bites him in the ass come playoff time, tbh..... he's the Choke Paul of the NFL, a similar control-freak choke artist....
Between Von and Welker, yes, the PED's will be off the chartsI do think they'll go down in rankings after this week, where I expect them to get butt ed by Seattle. The PEDs and piped in noise will be off the charts.
No pumped-in noise necessary, Seattle fans are just genuinely loud.... they used to be even louder at the Kingdome![]()
Hopefully A.J is good to go this week. Need those fantasy points
the wack Bengals. AJ...for getting hurt. I switched him out for Sammy Watkins but it didn't save and I was locked in. Lost to the other team by 1 pt.
Losing by that slim of a margin is maddening. Last week was a disaster for me. Lacy, AJ Green, just to name a few. Had Alfred Morris on the ing bench![]()
Doubt he plays since we the bye week soon
Yeaaaaah I know, just trying to be optimistic. He's going to try to practice Thursday I read earlier. Hopefully it pans out well.
ing wasted both Sammy Watkins and Jonathan Stewart's good weeks! I lost because the Colts gave up a touchdown to that cheap ass Shady McCoy. Man, I have a team but I can't be giving away wins like that.
Dennis Pitta gave me absolutely nothing as well, damn Owen Daniels. That Vulture needs to go back to Houston
I should've grabbed Zach Ertz instead of Pitta... him, too. the NFC North.
Yeah I have Jordan Reed on the bench, my patients are running thin at the TE spot. I just tried to trade for Alshon Jeffrey, the guy accepted the terms and the league blocked me like a bunch of es. If I get on a roll I'm going to rub that in their faces, clowns. 1-1 right now
I usually start out slow because I'm up against the guy who loves Peyton in the first two weeks. I get hot around week 5 and go on a tear. I've made the playoffs 8 of 9 years and have been to the le game 3 times. I've won once and lost twice. Both my loses have been by a combined count of 4 pts. Lost two years ago by 1.5 pts and 2.5 back in 2010. I think that was the year that Vick went ape and took my injured team to the promise land. If I had started the Vikings TE instead of bust Grisham on the sorry Bengals, I would've won the $500 earnings. It's been disappointing to say the least...
I usually get going around week 4. I typically always lose week 2 and then it goes from there. Last year was the worst as I came in 2nd. Would rather have no chance then to be right on the door step.
You're telling me man...I win the Best Named Team almost every year. I should be a 3-time champion but haven't had the luck since 2007 and its been frustrating. So close but yet so far! I've made the semifinals 5 times and have gone 3-2. I should be grateful that I get some money for the times I lose in the le game but it is never enough lol especially with how much I spend watching these games and bar tabs...etc..etc..
