Let's take it back to the 80's!!!!
To me, by far, it has to be Bionic Commando. I cant think of any other game on the NES that had such a RAD soundtrack.
Plus it was a badass game too.
What is yours?

Well before my time. I loved some of the SNES soundtracks, though.
Another one of my favorite NES games...
The Legend of Kage...
Not the most complex soundtracks but damn, that game was awesome... One of those games where I could hear the soundtrack and know what game it is, just like bionic Commando or Castlevania
. you stole my favorite. i own a castlevania soundtrack, and really the whole series has great music.
i would pick zelda, but will go with Kid Icarus.
Karate Kid!!!
Cant forget Contra, the first (unofficial) teamup of Arnold and Stalone, regardless if they endorsed it or not.
Up + up + down + down + Left + Right + Left + Right + B + A + Start
Woot!

det 30x 1up
If I had to pick a top 3:
Simons Quest (Bloody Tears is prob my fav in game song ever)
Ninja Gaiden (especially the song at the 23:03 mark)
Mike Tyson's Punch-Out ( stole my bike)
Ninja Gaiden 2 - not even close brahs
The Mike Tyson's punchout jogging music came to mind immediately, so Mike Tyson's Punchout gets my vote. Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Brothers have to be the most popular or well known.
Sorry res, I'm taking Gaiden 1 over 2.
Agree to disagree brah. Got chills when Jacquio was resurrected tbh
Beautiful Girls. Good tunes plus captured the feel of the movie.
Duck Tales, several of the Mega Man levels
I think the consensus is Contra, Mike Tyson Punch Out, and Super Mario Bros.
Extremely underrated soundtrack. I remember loving music on that game when I was a kid.
Gaiden 2 > Gaiden 1 by a slim margin.
I still like Metroid tbh. Seemed like it fit the game.
...I just now saw your suggestion. I totally forgot about that game. Was totally badass.
Realistic ad imo
