I kneeled down
beside the bed
then looked up to heaven
and this is what
I said

Dear God, I know You
are there
so could you please listen
to my prayer

I don't come to You often
actually this is the first time
so one little prayer
shouldn't be out of line


I love a woman
who lives down the street
she ain't good looking
but shes mighty sweet

I need her to love me God
so I won't be all alone
do You think you could fix that
maybe toss this poor dog
a bone
