Geez, this is the second time I bought something there in the last few years, that seemed cheap, but got it home, and it had way too many parts, some of them didn't match and were put together wrong.

Got a "cast iron" chiminea that had the upper part durable cast iron, but the lower assembly was pressed sheet metal, in a bazillion flimsy pieces.

My first instinct when I was shopping was to get a plain earthenware one from Mexico, no assembly, no nuthin, but I went against that and got something just because I didn't want to have to bother driving more, the model I got was the only one they had. Guess I waited too late in the season to buy? Dunno.

Lesson learned. I can live with this, for the amount I will use it for the next year or so, but next one will be a durable clay one.

I am sick and tired of all the Chinese made crap we have today in the stores. Hard to find USA made any more.

Not always. Still, I would rather pay more and employ USA citizens in USA factories.

I usually read customer reviews first. Also, I won't buy unless I see an assembled version. Unless you've alreafy made a fire in it, they'll probably take it back.

This is an internet forum. It is exactly the place for whining.

When ever you buy something that says "some assembly required" you take your chances that all
the parts listed are there. The biggest risk you can take is to buy some pressed board furniture like a
desk or a TV stand you put together.
