In this era of reaction to the fullest in terms of penalizing pro athletes, how harsh would've been the punishment if this occurred during the Silver regime? I mean, you've seen the fallout for the Rice and Peterson situations. I wonder though if Artest would've gotten a lifetime ban for what transpired in Auburn Hills.

So not only did Artest keep the Suns from garnering an NBA le he then stuck Pierce, head first, straight into the earth 17 June 2010.
