Probably Duncan.
Game 5 onwards, Kawhi.
Everyone's off though so it doesn't really matter...
Was about to do this after the 10th game but I forgot.
Who do you think was the mvp of the first 11 games of the season? Discuss.
Probably Duncan.
Game 5 onwards, Kawhi.
Everyone's off though so it doesn't really matter...
Saying game 5 onwards means that Kawhi was mvp for you for 6 games. So why did you choose TD instead?
Agreed. But we have to be happy with how they are winning with defense until everyone comes back fully healthy.
DPG21920 1 week ban?
Kawhi barely played his first 3 games and he was awful on both ends of the floor...That's not news.
You should be banned for starting this horawful thread.
Didn't even get the reference
Pop. Played Daye and Errors and we're still magically over .500...
Tough call. I'd say Tim or Cojo. No one has very good numbers.
Leonard and Duncan...
Tim. Dude has been bringing the intensity and hustle.
Tony still leads our team in scoring, however.![]()
Btw, Duncan is currently 7th in the NBA in blocks per game. That's absurd for how old he is.
Greatest of his generation making it look simple
Timmy
9th in Rebounding too. Ahead of guys like MVPau and Kevin Love.
Ya, it's Duncan and not even close, at the moment..
Duncan, Kawhi(since the rough start) and Joseph are the only Spurs that have played at, or exceeded expectations, so far IMO(Diaw lately, but started off the season poorly)..
Parker has been atrocious, Danny's shot is dead, Manu is struggling, Diaw has been slow, Baynes has been disappointing, Bonner and Ayres are being themselves, and Austin Daye has been one of the worst players in the entire league(negative PER)..yet the Spurs are 7-4 with wins @ the Clippers, Warriors and Cavs..
crazy..
Offensively, perhaps.
I think most of our guys are bringing it on defense this year. Tony actually looks like a more determined defender. Kawhi is making smart plays, Verde is locked in even if his shot is off, and generally around the rim we make smart rotations and don't pick up stupid fouls.
Honestly I think all of the gloom talk about how bad our players have been is kind of hilarious considering the Spurs are arguably the top defensive team in the league right now.
We've allowed the fewest PPG in the league, we're 5th in opp FG% and have held opponents to 27.5% shooting from outside the arc. Given how injured we were to start the season, it's safe to say that this team has been playing out of it's mind on the defensive side of the court.
Duncan, easily. 's shot looks improved this season and he still looks mobile. Looks like 2013 Timmy out there so far
Spurs best defensive player has also only played in 1 game so far too![]()
