Rent "Primer." You'll like it.
I saw this for the first time last night. Very disturbing/strange. Stoner movie of the millenium.
That black monolith in the white bedroom is one of the scarier things i've seen in a movie in a while...but i dont think it wasn't intended to be that scary
HAL is also one of the scarier movie characters i've ever seen.
Rent "Primer." You'll like it.
oh yeah, and Stanley Kubrick is the ing
I already liked him after FMJ and CO but after seeing this its almost an understatement saying how bad ass he is
What I find more disturbing is that SOME people can recite the dialogue from this film WORD FOR WORD...
There was one Hal line accidentally deleted from the original DVD Sound Track back in like 2000 & Warner Home Video Was Flooded with Hate Mail for messing with the film...The discs were recalled until the situation was figured out...![]()
If you thought that was strange try watching "A Clockwork Orange"
that was one stupid ass movie.
Thats not too hard to believe, seeing as how the dialogue is few and far between
I have seen a clockwork orange, its the
I guess it's poetic justice...
two McFlys with the same gun
oh god why did i ever watch that movie......
that and blue velvet.
What do you expect from the guy who made "Rosemary's baby"? I never saw the end of that btw. How'd everything work out?
Kubrick didn't do Rosemary's Baby.
That was Roman Polanski.
The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, Lolita (1962), 2001: A Space Odyssey, Spartacus “un edited”... A Clockwork Orange...Are all some of the most disturbing movies ever made and they all directed by Stanley Kubrik....![]()
The 1962 Lolita was CREEPY.....

Barry Lyndon was disturbing for different reasons.
Don't forget Dr. Strangelove... Possibly the best of all his movies.
Kubrick was an intellectually pretentious ass. His later movies sucked.
Damn...I forgot about Polanski. That guy just disappeared...even the hollywood "liberals" couldn't get past the pedophilia...gues Woody Allen is the only one that can get away with THAT...
Actually, he's still very revered in Hollywood circles, something I've always been pretty surprised about. (He got the Best Director oscar in 2002 for The Pianist and was given a standing ovation.)even the hollywood "liberals" couldn't get past the pedophilia...
He's a great filmmaker, but he's a convicted statutory rapist. I would think he'd be shunned.
I can recite every word spoken in the first 20 minutes or so.What I find more disturbing is that SOME people can recite the dialogue from this film WORD FOR WORD...
The gave him a standing ovation when he won the best director Oscar a few years ago.
Ooh ohh AAAH AAAAAH AAAH!!I can recite every word spoken in the first 20 minutes or so.

HAAAAAATE this movie!
Wasn't it Manny who said he worked with some computer program that had an error screen quoting HAL "I'm sorry Dave, I can't do that."
oh right, it was that other freak![]()
Who can name this director?
One of the most underappreciated directors in film history. You've heard of (at the very least) three of his films, and all of them are considered by many to be among the top 10-or-so films ever made.
