BTW digital camera are now dead. The SLR business will be niche market as always for the photographers, but yeah i'm seeing great cameras for less than $100-120.

I'm surprise that they're still being made at this rate. They'll be gone before too long. For the every day consumer anyway. There is almost no demand for them if you're not some type of professional who deals in that stuff.

Next big thing in digital is medium format for about $10,000. If much of their focus goes there, they'll price themselves out of the mass market and become a luxury item.
Medium format resolution digitally can be had for as low as $1800 nowadays

Yes, dumbed down versions. As DSLRs fail they'll stop attempting to price in the masses and focus on the niche, which won't buy cheap expensive technology.
Nothing beats a cannon slr. I say it typing on my 41 megapixel niggekia which is more than good enough for 99% of situations
