This was a stupid move by Pop. I can't wait til the old bucket of retires.
101 players are classified as "Power Forwards" in the NBA/BSPN list of NBA frontliners.
Rebounds per 48 minutes
96th place is Matty BonBon.
Who are the 5 players Matty smashes?
Well if you take out players who are out for the year (Julius Randle, David Lee played 1 game each) and players who have only played in one game due to temp injury (Grant Jerrett of the ThunderFlamers) that gives you BonBon at
96th out of 98.
With Pop providing frontline rebound relief for Timmy Duncan by starting BonBon alongside Timmy tonite vs the Grizzleys, we'll keep an eye on Mattys rebounding. Bonny currently muscling down 5.6 boards per 48 minutes.

Pretty crazy that he played almost the entire 3rd quarter..reminded me of Tim going alone vs. Gasol/Randolph in 2011..
You forgot about McCripple! He helped Duncan...![]()
Last nights triple OT vs Memphis?
15 min 0 rebounds. 0 points. O assists. 0 steals. 0 blocks.
Tonights 3OT vs Portland?
20 minutes 2 rebounds. If you want to know the importance of Bonnys 2nd rebound, it came in the 3rd overtime with 39 seconds left and Portland up 10.
35 minutes over two games, 1 semi meaningful rebound.
He stretches the floor
Why do we even call him a stretch big? He rebounds worse than most point guards in the league.
He doesn't even need to rebound to make Pop proud. He just needs to standing in the right place regardless if he gets scored on, out rebounded, pushed aside, etc. He was standing where he should be.
*blue font
He saved me 15% or more on car insurance though
FWIW, he also has a no-trade clause due to being a 1 year bird contract.
Bonner being in position literally gives Pop warm o kitty fuzzies in his heart.
RC Buford, 2014 GM of the year
We should cherry pick with Bonner, he doesn't defend or rebound anyways
Notice how he was so wide open last night? Portland wasn't even guarding him. They were doubling off him knowing he can't hit .
Stretch players only work if they can make the D pay for leaving them.
He's still a knock down shooter when left wide open. It's more that his release is too slow to be a true stretch big. He can't get his shot up in time if his defender is just a few steps in the lane, which is how stretch bigs like Anderson or Teletovic kill defenses. In his defense, he does change the way teams have to play the PnR and I can sort of see the logic in making bigs like Zbo and LMA chase him around the perimeter on D. It's also clear that he's worked on his in between game a lot. He's a utility player on a contender, that Pop is using as a starting big for whatever reason.
"Bonfire" continuing his rapid pace the last 7 games, muscling down a total of 9 rebounds.
That's not per game, that's 9 rebounds in the last 7 games he appeared in.
Now 64th of 64 in rebounds per minute for qualifying "Power Forwards".
He boxes out bro.
Until he concedes theres no way hes getting rebound (everytime) and fakes a push in to row 3 of the camera guys.
Bonbon with 8 rebounds in a game! Vs the Hornets!
He was awful, tbh
Allowed 2 rebounds of FT misses(that resulted in 5 points) PLUS 8980 offensive rebounds in the 4th![]()
Only starter with a positive +/-. Just saying.
Now ElNono
Chump had just put his apron on to start some crumpetts while TPark popped a bottle of imported Fizzy Bubblech to pour into his glass.
