We won the championship last year and so, collectively, we are bored as and we're subconsciously trying to make things interesting.

-2 triple-OT losses back to back? Bull .

-Tim randomly forgetting how to post up for the first 26 games of the season? Bull .

-Splitting our fandom over TP vs CoJo/Patty/the Silver Stars starting PG? Bull .

-Pretending to be mad about taking two 90% healthy conference rivals down to the wire with no Parker or Leonard? Bull .

-Being less than 4th seed at any point and time? Bull .

-Pop yelling at Danny Green? Bull .



We're basically just making up storylines because it takes to long for the playoffs to start.


Only thing real about this season is Manu sucking ass and that may not even matter once everyone is healthy.

I'd tend to agree with you in a year where the conference was at normal strength, but it's important to realize that the spurs are currently sitting at the 7 seed spot and facing another two weeks of terror against some of the best teams in the league. The spurs are good enough to be a one-seed if completely healthy, but so are seven other teams in the conference...That's virtually unprecedented in NBA history. Plus, the Mavs just poached another Eastern Conference all-star.

There's legitimate reason to be concerned that the spurs will fall behind and limp into the playoffs as a low seed to be eliminated in the first or second round. Everything comes down to Kawhi and Tony and Tim and DG's good health and their ability to start winning some games so the spurs can avoid the worst playoff matchups. Those guys are the four components that will have to be playing at 100% for the spurs to make a deep playoff run.
