Wow, really painful when they flashed the RIP on during the Colts Bengals game. Felt like being punched in the stomach. What a likable guy, Budkin you're right, he was the best, so enjoyable and upbeat, to the bitter end.

RIP, remember him as a kid watching Sports Center with his rap references to plays being made and that stuck out for some reason.

Sad day, indeed. As someone named Scott who has a brother named Stuart, we alway got a kick out of seeing his name flash upon the bottom banner of ESPN. He fought long and hard, so hopefully he has found some peace now. RIP to a sports icon.

Yes, R.I.P. for sure. I'm one of the few people that didn't like his on-air style and catch phrases. But there is no denying he won at life, was a trend setter and pretty much made his mark on the world before he left. You have to respect that. He also took cancer head on and didn't let it beat him. He lived with it and didn't allow it to get the best of him. Its a very sad day indeed and a real loss. The world could use more people like him.

Damn. R.I.P. I grew up watching the guy on Sportscenter and he was easily the best anchor they had. He brought an energy and enthusiasm to the show....

RIP, and way too young, but the dude took the lead in bringing ESPN to the celebrity obsessed, star ing bowl of it is today. I don't understand why people admire what he did. His network is unwatchable and he was among the first.

Sucks. Haven't watch a ton of espn (or TV) since I was a kid, but SS always kept it real. We could use more of him these days, most sports media now are professional trolls, riders, or idiot former players.
