zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz just a game........you win some lose some
I've watched the Spurs since 2002 and this is as bad a stretch as I've ever seen. Atrocious defense by just about everyone, spotty effort at times, and just awful, awful execution and mental for ude in crunch time. Kawhi or no Kawhi, we've lost about 4-5 games (off the top of my head) due to an inability to make FTs or get stops in crunch time.
This team is at a real crossroads right now, and they seem to have lost their confidence and iden y a bit. Hopefully things turn around, otherwise we're looking at a 1st round exit.
Also, if Jeff ing Ayers is your best player on a given night, then odds are you ain't winning .
Edit: I understand that injuries have plagued us, and that December was a month from , but I'm mainly commenting on this team's lack of mental for ude and execution in closing out games.

It's a pattern, and the issues need to be addressed.
It's simply a case of players being worn out, tbh..
The Spurs had more injuries than any team in the league for a long stretch of time, and it has snowballed..even with players returning, it doesn't negate the toll it took on Duncan, Ginobili and even Green(who has to play both sides of the floor and has looked fatigued the past week or so)..
This team needs: Leonard to return, Splitter to return to form(his D has fallen off this year), Mills' shooting to return, and then need to give Duncan/Ginobili some rest..the only scary thing is that the team can't seem to get healthy, which won't allow players to get in rhythm/rest..
First round exit? They keep this up they're not making the playoffs. Something like 80% of their games so far have come down to the final minute, and they're .500 in them (at best). If doesn't improve they'll finish outside the top 8 seeds.
That's the tough part. We can't really afford to rest our guys because we're currently a bottom-tier playoff team.
