The worst part of all(excluding Tony Parker's presence and disgusting contract that will kill the Spurs for the next few years, and also kill the souls of die-hard Spurs fans that have to watch him on a basketball court.. ing sickening and disgusting) is that the Spurs now have to battle for playoff seeding, which will render them unable to rest Duncan, Ginobili and even Danny Green..

It's evident that Duncan is gassed, as his defense has been horrendous lately..Manu is a legendary warrior, he's still giving it everything, but he's old and has too much mileage to run the offense for such long stretches, of course..

Even Green, at his age, has to be worn out by that long stretch of OT games, etc where he was the only 2-way player on the floor for most of the time..his defense and energy hasn't been the same the past week or so, tbh..

Is there any chance the Spurs will be able to rest these key players?

At some point I think Pop will stop caring about seeding (if he hasn't already) and start resting people. I just hope they make the postseason.

Yeah, he'll rest them so they can be well rested heading into the offseason.

All worth it as long as Enrique's mild asscheek strain is 100% pain free.

By next month, the Spurs will get on a winning streak. They will push it into overdrive by or around the All-Star break. The question to your OP is yes. The Spurs just need to catch fire. It will happen.

Nope. Spurs are now in "til the wheels fall off" mode.

And Parker needs to in' nut up and play through it. I know he gets a lot of flack, with some posters preferring he not play at all, but Cojo and Mills aren't true PGs and are better utilized coming off the bench. Opposing teams still gameplan for Parker since he's a threat to drop 25-30 any given night. When we can overwhelm opposing PGs with the three headed monster of Parker/Mills/Cojo, it's a big advantage to have. And Parker makes those two better just by being active on the roster.

And Kawhi needs to take a page out of Kirby's book and just "warrior it." 's always texting on his in' phone on the sidelines using the hand that supposedly doesn't work. If he can text, he can in' play. I know Kobe would be out there, and even though he exaggerates the severity of his injuries, I have no doubt he'd play through whatever "mysterious" injury is affecting Kawhi.

It's inexcusable Duncan and Manu having to carry so much while our young "Finals MVP" sits on the sidelines and texts and "MVParker" sulks on the bench nursing his sore asscheek.

Well either that or they'll also catch fire when they crash and burn

On the other hand, the good part of all this is that we've only been blown out like twice in all these games... 95% of them winnable....

I remember last season we were so confident in the last minute of a game... Danny/Marco/Patty will hit a 3... even Tiago looked like he could sink any amount of freebies...

This season they all seem to be close games and it's like getting a tooth pulled... we also have yet to have a full healthy roster without minute restrictions or anything like that...

If Kawhi is texting, he might be texting something like " , the Spurs re-signed Parker for a few more years, how can I get the out of here next year".

What's worse is the organization may be unwilling to trade Tony like they did rj.

I don't recall if I've commented on the Spurs extending Parker, but I will now.

How in the could the Spurs have re-signed him without even seeing how he plays this season? It was in their best interest not to, as at worst, it could have given him motivation to play better this season.

Kawhi is sulking the denial of the max extension so he won't be happy if the team wins without him. Him and Parker will help to derail this season

Evita is the problem. Spurs have the most turnovers in the last 5 minutes of games than anyone else in NBA

Evita just can't handle the pressure anymore

For all the hate Parker gets on this board (heroball, enrique, etc.) we are now seeing how much he means to the offensive side of the ball. Expecting Mills and Cojo to run the offense is like having your back up and third string quarterback run a prolific offense.

Not to mention Parkers ice in the veins style of finishing games. We look like a bunch of gots trying to finish games without our MVP

The are you talking about? Our team had a little winning streak going until Parker came back last night. Even then, everytime our team would go on a run it was with Parker on the bench. lol What the are you talking about?

Yes because you know more about basketball than a 5 time NBA champion HOF coach. GTFOH

Parker may not be the player he once was but a HEALTHY Parker is still very much important to the Spurs playoff success. If you think the Spurs will have any REAL success in the PO's with Parker playing a limited role, then you're as dumb and the dumb looking idiot in your avatar.

I'm watching a team that has yet to field a complete and healthy team. Sometimes I wonder what you morons think the Spurs should do? Go 82-0? Parker, Splitter, Mills, KL,...etc have all been hurt.

If you have been paying attention for I don't know...the LAST 10 years or so then you would know (as Pop has stated over 1000x) the Spurs don't go anywhere without a healthy roster.

...and unless you're on the Spurs' medical/rehab staff then you have no idea what type of injury Parker has that limits his ability to play at an optimal level.

Finally, if you can't deal with a little adversity that the Spurs have been facing then do yourself a favor and stop watching.

Pop has really crapped the bed this season. I know there have been injuries but he has gotten way too cute with the rotations so far.

Now it is coming back to haunt him because the Spurs are going to be fighting for the rest of the year trying to get a decent playoff seed. I don't think the Spurs would be able to do well coming into the playoffs as the seventh seed. While I don't think anyone in the West is head and shoulders over anyone else right now, the Spurs starting off a series down 0-2 is going to be awfully daunting.
