Interesting with Daye having one pretty good game recently. One good game out of 40 is not good enough.
Danny will have to get a new jersey "D. Green" and "J. Green" now.
If J Green is a lot more athletic than Daye, that sound OK to me.

This could be a nice defensive addition and an energy guy/athletic addition

It is for Manu
Woj outscooping our local hacks
Signed for 10 days, and then what?
Thank God. Daye was so ing terrible.
3 possibilties:
1. Waived and returned to Austin.
2. Signed to a second 10-day contract
3. Signed to a contract for at least the remainder of the season.
He outscoops everyone . BFD
I guess the Mavs will sign Daye now. They like our leftovers.
In the last games, Pop barely put Ayers and Baynes. The rotation players are Tim-Tiago-Boris-Bonner...

TGY will log on as soon as his fap session is over.
Don't ing matter. Daye waived. I'm partying tonight.![]()
Can see this being a similar move to the Baynes' signing in 12/13. Ending up being a 2 yr deal with next year being non-guaranteed/team option.
Could be the cheapest roster addition for next years squad, which would allow Spurs to utilize as much cap space as possible on more relevant roster spots (esp if Manu and TD retire).
That was my first thought. They could even use the MLE and lock him up for 4 years at salaries equal to the minimum with little or no money guaranteed.
In reality it would be #1 or #2, you don't normally sign the guy to a contract for remainder of the season after the first 10 day contract UNLESS there's a whole heap of injuries to the current roster.
Glad to see us make this move. I hope he can impress. I feel like he's been trying to make it here for so long.
I think New Orleans should claim him, who knows with their front office
More excited that we waived Daye. He wasn't an NBA player. He got his ring anyway.
Think its inevitable considering how Baynes and Ayres are unrestricted this upcoming summer. One or both won't be back. That's where Green makes sense.
Dude why does everyone hate Daye? I don't get it. I am a little disappointed with this move, but I don't think it will ruin us obviously. Daye is long, stretches the floor, can create his own shot, and plays serviceable defense. Is he a starter, no. But he is a fringe rotation player. So please tell me what I am not seeing? Where are his monumental shortcomings? Why do spurs fans hate this guy?
Always liked Daye, but I guess it's a numbers game.
His calling card was shooting, but he seemed to be in a prolonged (yearlong) slump. That said, for a shooter he did a lot of other things well -- everything except shooting.
Hopefully, Daye will make it with another team.
Daye had more uses than Ayres; he could sometimes shoot the ball and actually dribble. That's two things Pender can never do.
