Just don't get the Camaro
So i've made up my mind that I'm spending some $ on a good car in the next 3 months .. but not 100% sure what to get. The options, in my preferential order atm;
1. Nissan GTR
2. Merc C63 AMG
3. Audi RS5 (problem is my bro has one)
4. Chevrolet Camaro
Ive taken the GTR for a couple of test runs.. and its ing incredible.. like literally take your breath away power and speed.
Have not taken the C63 for a run.
My bro owns an RS5 and while its a awesome car in terms of technology.. beautiful V8 rumble.. all wheel drive.. it just doesn't leave your brain scrambled like the GTR.
Haven't taken the Camaro for a run either.
Interested to here your thoughts/opinions.. doesn't matter if you don't own one or haven't driven them.. just want to know what y'all think and what you would get... ps i live in Australia.
Just don't get the Camaro
Haha why.
Umm... the Chevy is not even in the same class as those other sports cars. And it doesn't cost "serious" money either. That's a "first car in high school" type ride, not a serious sports car.
I've never driven the GTR, but I hear it's pretty hardcore. I think I'd prefer a more everyday type driving car like the RS5.
Ask kool about his Maserati and maybe he'll change your mind.
GT-R
Get a decent point A to point B car and invest the money you saved.
you rich or something? why blow that kind of money on a car
This topic would have looked better if you had borrowed my Horn Tooter screen name.
As for advise on a car to get grow some balls and purchase a real car.

If it's not stick you're wasting your time.
I blow by people in their muscle cars on the highway. Why get one if you're not going to drive fast.
What's your definition of a muscle car?
If you spot me the extra 50k![]()
Not at all.. i just work like a dog in a mining town 2000km from home .. 13 hour days for weeks straight.. and as the last few years have gone by they've felt like weeksso i think whats the point in working like that and sacrificing if your not going to enjoy some if it..
Its not like i haven't invested any money.. i have.. just need something to enjoy you know and a reason for doing it.. maybe i should get a wife instead![]()
agree... I'm a big fan of muscle cars.. but i would rather something that scrambles the brain while having the benefit of looking good and turning a few heads.. a muscle car only does one of those things.
I'd do the same if I was in your shoes. As long as you are looking out for the long term, there's no reason not to enjoy it. Be sure you go pro it and post it here when you get that car on a remote road and open it up.
For sure.. probably the first place ill post the video is here.. sadly![]()
don't get why you'd overpay for imports when you could get a corvette that performs as well as euro cars that cost 3x the amount
edit: just read that you're in australia
not sure how much corvettes cost there in relation to the others. also, unless its a Transformer, not sure why a Camaro is on the list with those other cards
well its probably the fall back option if i don't have the balls to cough up the cash for one of the top 3 ...we don't have many Camaro's here in Australia so i guess they're still considered cool

I like the wife option better then have some white kids. Worldly possessions don't bring happiness but being a contributor to society snd having a family does.
Just really think about it before you drop the cash on it. Unless you have the cash to pay for the car, you can't afford it if you are going to finance. Those cars are really all around the board too. I'm a big fan of the GT-R and can afford one but wouldn't get one. The newness of the car wears off after a while and you get used to the power. If you are going to get something get it used, theres really no point in getting something new just to tell yourself, "No one else has driven it". C63 is fast but a little boring and small, RS5 is meh, not a huge audi fan, and Camaro is all over the place here and doesn't really handle that great. Unless you are looking at a ZL1 or new Z28 Camaro. Whats your budget? And what do you want out of the car, just speed, handling, looks? I bought a M3 last year and regretted buying it almost the next day, eventually sold it 6 months later. I was always worried about it getting messed up or something breaking on it. You also gotta remember the maintenance and upkeep on some of the cars.
^Looks nice, I'm a big fan of the recent benz designs. I really like the new S class, it would be a amazing car to have.
