i dont think it could hurt
maybe a slight increase
I was discussing this with some people at work and thought I'd see what you guys think.... Will the Katrina disaster and the ensuing economical impact lead to an upswing in Military recruitment? Will many of the refugees choose the Service over trying to rebuild their lives? Will others around the country who were not directly affected by Katrina but are struggling to keep up with rising costs related to gas prices be moved to join for those reasons?
I don't really know what to think... It seems pretty far-fetched at this point, but it's also ripe for some fun conspiracy theory discussions.

the ones who are so poor as to not even be able to afford gas and are able bodied should have already signed up.
^lol
if theyre not poor than they can do whatever they want
don't leach off the system and force my tax money to pay for their sorry ass.
believe me, i have cousins who are societal leeches.. pisses me off..
so should i go off on a new tangent about how i want to see you admit that your cousins are wrong?
Yeah, military recruiting numbers were down so obviously Bush conjured up a cat 5 hurricane into a town with a large black population to fix that problem.it's also ripe for some fun conspiracy theory discussions.
Or maybe the levees were breached on purpose..... (Dum dum dum dumb dum dum dum dumb)
oh, i am the first to say they are wrong... i tell them myself... stop ing having babies...get off your ing ass and get a job... lay off the ing dope...
i don't say it like that, a little nicer. but they could care less... they CHOOSE to be bums...
Branding everyone who is on welfare in that way is just like me branding all conservatives as Pat Robertson supporters
no, believe me.. they are my relatives...
It's a en human tragedy going on out there. The levees were only supposed to hold back a CAT5 hurricane. However, the government still had days to prepare to send help, water, medicine, food. There are babies dieing of dehydration. No en excuse, No en excuse.
Cat 3, actually.CAT5
Sorry, but MSNBC is showing raw footage of these people at the Superdome and I can't en believe that this is America. They showed a baby so weak it couldn't hold its head up. Where are the air drops?
The Saints are going to play in baghdad????
If they want real money they'll drive trucks over there for Haliburton. If you're going to risk your life anyway go for the bigger reward.
