Zero excuses to lose this game. They're missing bothKemba and Biyombo, both of whom were the primary reason the Spurs had to fight to win the first game. If they don't win by 15+ I'll be disappoint.
Is Chucky McChucker going to play this time?
Need a replacement Melissa charm, tbh.
Thanks to Memphis beating Dallas tonight, only 1 game back of the Mavs:

"Bismack Biyombo (knee), Marvin Williams (concussion), Kemba Walker (knee) and Jannero Pargo (back) are all not expected to play against San Antonio on Jan. 28."

That means the green light for Chucky if he plays. He may break the record for most shot attempts in regulation.
Impossible
Troof!
With a win here and a Dallas loss @Houston, we'll be tied for the 6th seed.
As others have said, there's no excuse to lose here. At home, well-rested, and Charlotte is missing a couple of key players. I'll be a bit disappointed if it's even close tbh.
Hopefully tim plays less than 25 minutes tom. Parker less than 25 and Manu less than 20..
Leonard less than 30..
Keep these guys hungry.
And five games in the loss column out of second. Just amazing considering everything that's happened.
Still will be tough to catch MEM (GS ship has probably sailed though 10 back of them after last night). Best case is still gunning for the 2/3 and hoping that OKC doesn't pass DAL for 7th. Will be a bloodbath no matter what.
Some folks on here are suggesting that they will be 'disappointed' in our win isn't by xx point total. I think that is a real set-up for the team, and a promise that, if xx is not the point total, SOMEONE on the team will have played 'like a scrub' or should be traded or whatever.
I don't care what the point spread is. If we look like the game is in hand and our starters don't need to play long minutes, I'll be fine as long as we are one ahead when the final whistle blows.
The Hornets have key injuries, but they still have some good players and those players are going to try their hardest to beat the crap out of us. They have pride and we are the Champs. We recently won over them, so even without Walker, they may have folks one their team who say "this is my time to take off and show the league what I can do and who better to do it against that the reigning champs". We will still have to be focused and work hard.
If the game gets lopsided in our favor, I expect Pop to either sit people for rest or experiment with some play calling or rotations that look goofy. If it happens, that is the sort of thing that gets folks around here in melt-down mode and screaming for this player or that coach to be replaced immediately. Hope springs eternal for mature reactions, but experience suggests otherwise.
I just hope we win.
One of you locals should crack her about posting on ST. I am sure some posters would say something out of line but all in all she would be a rock star in here. Making up for some of that adulation she got as the premier Silver Dancer.
With the Hornets being short-handed, this looks like a "should win this one"-game. Hopefully, our guys capitalize on opportunities like this more often than not.
Yep. I'd rather a 5 point win with our starters only logging 28 minutes than a 25 point blowout because our guys finally got their act together in the 2nd half.
Can't give up the easy ones. Lets get a W tonight.
