Bulce
The fraying began, however, almost immediately. Management forced Thibodeau to fire his right hand man, Ron Adams, two years ago and Thibbs has steamed about it ever since. Foreman has never given a reason publicly about the move, which has only fueled all the speculation between Foreman and Thibbs, who took his sweet time signing a contract extension, perhaps as a silent protest.
Now, suddenly, word is (there’s that clause again) that the front office is unhappy with the minutes Thibbs is giving to certain players, is worried about the Bulls’ defense and is beginning to tell Thibodeau how to tweak his rotation.

If McHale wouldn't have signed an extension I'd say bring that man here.
They should have traded him for Harbaugh
Coaches can be traded right?![]()
Thibs is a very good coach, but CHI knew his flaws when they signed him (running players into the ground). To meddle now makes no sense.
Of course they can. Doc was traded to the Clippers.
Thibbs playing Kirby 40+ minutes next year. Do it Mitch indeed tbh.
"Play Butler, Noah, and Pau less than 35mpg Tom."
"NO!"
"Play Butler, Noah, and Pau less than 35mpg Tom."
"NO!"
"Play Butler, Noah, and Pau less than 35mpg Tom."
"NO!"
if the Clippers fire Doc and hire Thibs
Thibs coaching the Rockets, Mchale becomes some made up position in the office and still gets paid.
Profit????
What's funny is that after three knee surgeries, Derrick Rose may end up surviving while Thibodeau will not able to repair his problems
Why not? Will run Westbook and Durant into the ground as well..
> Fire Thibodeau
> Promote Free Throw coach to HC
The "Thibodeau running players into the ground" is somewhat true, but every good coach has their flaws..
The Bulls have been the most overrated team in the NBA for the past 3 years, as I've repeated many times..it begins with Rose, who is one currently one of the worst starting PGs in the NBA..if you're starting PG is a high-usage, negative impact player, but the coach isn't allowed to bench him(because he's from Chicago and hugely popular, and they also don't have any real alternatives to replace him), what is he supposed to do?
Pop used to "run Duncan into the ground", too..he also coached with the same style as Thibs, constantly being hard on his players, etc..the difference is that Pop won les early in his career with a prime Duncan, which forever permitted him to take whatever risks and chances he liked, as he became the "winner guy"..
That is fine his injury will happen a few games sooner, big en deal
There are only 2 players playing above 30 mins for the Bulls, that's Gasol and Butler and that's due to the Bulls injuries. Butler's minutes has been cut recently since Rose' return. I think that notion is overblown.
I agree, didn't know he actually cut it down this year, though..
It's typical of the Bulls front office and fanbase to blame the coach, tbh..
The Rose situation is extremely difficult for a coach to deal with, I don't know what you're supposed to do with it..the fanbase still loves him and delusional enough to believe he can still be a great player..he's a Chicago "icon", so Thibs isn't going to win that battle..
Thibs seems to be the guy egging Rose on to shoot. He needs to snap out of it and put the ball in Butler's hands, otherwise he'll be out of a job
I don't necessarily believe that, but we'll see as more info is leaked..the Bulls' ownership and front office as a lot of stock in Rose, he's a Chicago icon, they can't afford to make him unhappy, from a financial standpoint IMO..
No one is un-tradeable in the NBA. We shall see how this plays out
The kiss of death for a coach is when the owner gives the coach "suggestions"
on how to use the players...What kind of asshole team owner would interfere
like that .... Ugh...Jerry would and see the results. Tibbs is a good coach but
he had to get sideways with the GM and other front office hanger on's for
the leaks and whispers that you are now hearing out of Chicago....
