Yep confirmed by the Blazers. He, Clyde, Porter, Buck, and Duck were heroes to many of us who grew up in Portland. Just yesterday he was visiting kids at a local high school.
RIP Jerome, 1999 NBA Champion with the San Antonio Spurs!

He was on the spurs for the 1999 championship season.
Only 52 years old. Damn.

Haven't seen the cause of death yet....anybody know?

RIP Jerome.
It's a Blazers video but here's Porter, Kersey, and Danny Young singing a "rap" song when the Blazers hit their stride in 1990.

Remember how tall Barkley actually ended up being? Same thing. Weird, this quoted thing screwed up but whatever...was talking about comparing Malik Rose to Sean Elliott's height.
Gone so young. He was involved in the Portland community recently doing some public speaking for the kids, and he looked great. RIP Jerome.
He's immortal in my mind.
Everyone on that '99 team is.
RIP, thank you for the dedication for 1999 champion
This...
RIP
Is he the first champion spur to die
Wow that's shocking - only 52 years old what a shame. Great memories of his hard work and hustle back in '99.
Ah man, that's horrible to hear. I still remember when he hit that three at the buzzer at the end of first quarter in Game 1 of the LA series in 1999 and how the Alamodome went nuts for it. This really makes me sad, as I was so happy when the Spurs signed he and Mario Elie for some veteran toughness, and he was awesome in the series against LA. And of course he was incredible to watch with Drexler and Porter, and later on Buck Williams. RIP Jeromio, and thanks for bringing us Spurs fans the le we had been wanting to see so badly for years.![]()

I seem to recall him having some nice moments for us in that championship run, which seems like a lifetime ago now. RIP.
Wow. Terrible. Way too many NBA players dying before 60 these days.
God speed Jerome.
You helped teach us all Spurs fans what Believe truly meant.
Apparently had some sort of knee surgery earlier this week or last week (may be a cause of complications). Complained to team officials at the Moda Center that he didn't feel well and was going to go home. Collapsed before getting to his car.
i don't think this can be "this"'d enough.
