That's the point of the poll. Maybe there could be even a vBookie event on this, let's say, you bet on Macijauskas now, an unproven player in the NBA, with a whole season in front of him where everything can happen (e.g. injuries). If he wins the Rookie of the Year award by the end of the season, you could win many vDollars!

Well he won a gold medal for Argentina during the most recent Olympics for starters.

I think it will be Marvin Williams. If the Hawks get 30 wins this season, and he is a big part of that, I think he can take the award.

not likely to be oberto, he is not a starter so his stats probably will lose to other rookie starters

He's a center from Argentina that the spurs got in free agency.

    He's about 30ish.

The only reason he's on the poll is because he's a spur so it's not like he's got a chance to REALLY make rookie of the year.

macijauskas could be right up there

he is playing on a team where he can get a lot of chances and he was one of the best young players in Europe (but with loads of experience and he is just 25)

Jasikevicius - Should have been in the NBA for several years already.

Will lead the Pacers to the Promise Land.
I like Jarrett Jack but he will be a real rookie, ups and downs.
Bogurt will get the most exposure until at least the All Star Game

Pacers to the promised land I meant the Finals where the spurs will kick
    their butts in 5 games.

Id go for either of the two new bobcats - they will get serious playing time (unlike Oberto, who wont get SERIOUS minutes) and they have a good young team going on over there... maybes its just me, but i wouldnt mind seeing the bobcats make the playoffs.... i think they are going about things in quite a nice/successful way.

BUT it will probably be bogut or williams (unfortunately)

oh wait, im australian. yeah, bogut will win hands down, the rest all suck... *cough*

From what I've heard, Oberto play's like a soft, Euro version of Tony Massenberg, with slightly less athleticism.

I'm going with Saraunas Jasikevicius. From what I've heard and seen, this guy's basically a Steve Nash clone with better defense. And as good as Tinsley is (he was considered an All-Star snub by many), if Saras lives up to half the hype he could be starting before Christmas.

My darkhorse is Danny Granger, the best player in college basketball last year. His overall game is sick, to the point where people have compared him to some combonation of Scottie Pippen, Tracy McGrady, and Shawn Marion.
