Zach Randolph and Beno Udrih are out due to illness.

Tony Allen is out due to suspension. He will be back for tomorrow's game against the Rockets.

If the Rockets beat the Hawks without Harden (+ still no Howard) what does that do for his MVP chances?

Right now it's his to lose IMO, unless LeBron continues to put up 40/8/5 games.

Jones is a beast. He makes Houston a bad match up for a lot of teams; too bad they have Harden as their #1 option in the playoffs...

For those not paying attention to teams of lesser concern...

    Sacramento - 92
    Knicks - 48

Also, Cleveland 100 Boston 56. We could see two 50 point beatdowns on the same day in the NBA.

Harden is probably cheering hard for the Hawks, tbh..his MVP case is finished if the Rockets without Harden/Dwight beat the Hawks on the road..

I dont know about that ...
But I think the idea that he is carrying a bunch of scrubs a la Lebron in Cleveland is false. Getting brewer, Smith and getting back Terrence jones this team has talent just lack stars outside of Harden and the s of Dwight. morey acquires talent well.

The narrative in Harden's favor over Lebron and Curry(which I have said, too) is that he's carrying a relatively mediocre supporting cast and coach to a top seed in the West..if they win this game without him, it creates some doubt around that notion IMO..

There are always instances where good teams lose to teams without their star player when they fall asleep and overlook that team, but all we hear about the Rockets is that they don't have a system and they rely entirely on Harden..they aren't like the Spurs or Hawks, or even the Heat of the past few years..

I also have agreed with that and tbh, he has done the most with less ...outside of Westbrook who has had no durant for almost as much time as Harden has missed Dwight. But they are not giving the MVP to a star for the 8th seed. I think Harden should be the favorite and I dont think this one game changes that ...but rox have more talent than people care to admit ...

Perk with the skyhook from 0 feet.

So entertaining watching him try to score. Just as long as the game is out of hand, that is.
