Yeah, Spurs fans around here, parade-like in their glee over this acquisition, must have a short memory.

Wasn't it practically yesterday people were calling Finley Bowen's , owned and so on?

He REALLY didn't like Bowen, seems to me.

However, he chose to sign with the Spurs, so I assume avoiding Bowen's d by playing on the same team is better than the alternative. Plus, getting that ring probably makes that pill easier to swallow.

Anybody think there might be some bad chemstry between them, esp. considering they are competing for minutes with each other?

Anyway, score 1 for Bowen. If you can't beat 'em, JOIN 'EM.

I dont think he hates him. They just competed alot against eachother and they are both very competative. Now that they are on the same team I doubt they will "hate" eachother.

There is no room for hate or compe ion within the Spurs locker room. If Finley was going to have a problem with anyone on the team, I'm sure he wouldn't have been signed.

He seems like a pretty laid back guy anyways. Reports are even comparing him to Tim in that regard. I'm sure now that he won't actually have to go against Bruce's defense on the court anymore, there won't be any bad blood between them.

But now They will practice against each other so i hope Bowen still puts the shackles on him that way. That would be a fun scrimmage to see

In fact, i bet you Manu practices against Bowen all the time, thats probably why he can just take anyone to the hole now

Exactamo. I think I even read in a report that Pop will switch Bowen onto various guys at practice, so they can learn how to deal with lockdown defenders outside of a gametime situation. If you can get past Bruce Bruce, you can get past almost any guy in this league.

Fortunately, I'm doubting Bowen goes into full-aggression defense mode in practice, so hopefully Finley won't be coming into any more encounters with those elbows, and Bruce won't be coming into any more encounters with the B-word.

    32.0 MPG - 8.2 PPG - 3.5 RPG - 1.5 APG

^worst stat-line for a starter in the NBA.
Who does it belong to? I'll give you a hint - he's a dirty player who routinely gets torched by Kobe, and his initials are BB. And it's not Brent Barry or Benoit Benjamin.

He's getting the job done though, isn't he? 2 Rings, does that mean anything?

It'll never happen. For one, Bruce is never that obvious, and when he s with somebody, it's never out of anger--its with the intent of getting in their heads, making them react, making them get the technical.

Bruce does exactly what is expected of him on this team .. and obviously it works.

Bowen doesn't routinely get torched by Kobe. And there's a lot of starters in the NBA who have worse stat lines.

But here's a hint anyway ... individual stat lines don't win ball games. It's about team basketball. If you can keep your players off suspension this season, maybe you can find out how that concept works.

I'm sure Carmelo Anthony, Ray Allen, Shawn Marion, Rip Hamilton, and Chauncey Billups wish Bowen wasn't a starter, too. They all got locked down during the biggest games of their season by your so called 'worst starter in the league'

Oh, and last time he played Kobe, he got 'torched' by laying down 24 points on him while sticking him with something like 12. And this wasn't the first time it'd happened either. As if regularly holding him to 10 under his average isn't good enough.

It's okay. You can keep living with your delusions. We'll keep living with our championships.

    "Manu vs. Bowen matchup!"

Already happened in practices a year or more ago.

Manu's comment was something like "You just wanted to slap him"

I laughed so much when I read online that a coached said Manu plays bball like a footballer or something like that. Man I love to see Manu play, hes the best SG if you ask me. Kobe Tmac all of those guys are just flash. They disappear when it really matters. Manu carried the Spurs against Ta Defensive minded Detroit team, while tmac couldnt even do it against THE MAVS!!!

I like Kobe, but I'm tired of seeing him shooting 3 feet behind the threepoint line trying to win a game. He's blown far to many game winners this season alone.
