there's a reason Utah shipped him out, and when you see they bought out Perkins, you'll see they really wanted him out. he was the third overall pick when they took him. teams dont trade players like that just to waive somebody because they think he's a good player

He demanded a trade because he was a top ten pick getting bench minutes. He was going for like 13 a game in 15 minutes. It becomes a problem when you are a team like Utah and have nothing but top ten picks all trying to be the star. Their rotation of 8 before the Kanter trade literally was all top 10 picks.

He was starting and getting 27 minutes per game. The only big that got more minutes was favors

He looks better in his short time with the Thunder than he did in his years with Utah, tbh.

He's very polished offensively, but his defense is nonexistent and he's pretty much a black hole.

That being said, dude's only 22 years old. He's got plenty time to develop.

Kanter started every game for the Jazz until he was traded except for 1 game vs the rockets on January 10 when coming off an injury

Must have caught that game and stayed with the idea that he was a 6th man now. It's weird 'cause I vividly remember the Jazz commentators saying like "Now the he's coming off the bench he can come and dominate other teams' second units", like if it was a new defined role.

I also remember thinking Gobert started against the Spurs over Kanter.

IIRC, wasn't No Lyfe a big Waiters fan, too?..

Kanter, I can understand, at least he's gifted offensively..Waiters is one of the tiest players I have ever seen on an NBA floor, though..

I wouldn't say I'm his fan. But he looked promising before LeBron came in and he went to the bench. He's been this year.
