He said he watches a lot of Spurs games, and that Duncan has lost several games on horrible passes to end the game..

I agree, that was a horrible play call. Why the would you depend on a difficult half-court pass to not lose a game??

They keep wasting opportunities to move up in the standings..Memphis lost again, and the Clippers are probably going to win tonight, which will drop the Spurs back down to 7th..
At some point, we have to accept that they aren't coasting, tbh..Pop included, his coaching has been awful, too..
Elephant in the room is that Pop hasn't been a very good coach this year tbh. Almost every mad scientist thing he's tried hasn't worked and he's stuck with those things for far too long, the latest being this whole subbing Danny/Kawhi out two minutes into the game if they foul someone, along with shoving Patty out there for a sporadic 4 minute audition like its The Voice. It's just pure stubbornness on his part and it seems as if none of the assistant coaches are willing to be the voice of opposition. He isn't stupid so it's hard for me to believe he can watch the same games I do and not realize what a huge drop off in talent it is to play Beli over Green, yet he's perfectly content playing them equal minutes to prove the sophisticated point that is "don't foul".

It's not like Kawhi missed the ball. Shved made a good read and steal. It helped the pass was telegraphed.
Pass was telegraphed plus no movement from Green in the corner allows Shved to cheat into the lane & make a clutch play
The pass shoulda been a lob to the rim
Kawhi has his man beat and Shved wouldnt be able to contest it at the rim

He's always been their go-to late game inbounder (I realize last night it wasn't an inbounds situation that you're referring to, but I'm speaking in general) and generally been surefire in those situations, just as Ginobili has generally been surefire as their go-to late game free throw shooter.
It's inexplicable what's happened to them in those respective situations this season, but the amount of equity and credibility they have built up is what keeps him giving them those chances. That and law of averages.
TD does that at times. Gets a little lazy and tries to go for the homerun pass that wasn't there.
Wasnt a bad play call. Shved just made a good play. Timmy should've read the cheat and skipped passed to Danny green.
