We need a star to continue contending. Splitter and Green are now and always will be complimentary players
assuming TD and Manu retire, do you think Splitter is good enough to be a 30mpg 14-8 boards kinda guy?..He is obviously already a great defender.
If splitter can have those production numbers, do you think the spurs still need a semi star big man player to compliment Kawhi and Tony?...
I really think with Manu and TD retiring..Danny and Splitter increased minutes and an added capable big is Contender material.

Splitter, yes. His offensive game is pretty ugly, but it's effective enough. I think you'd see an uptick in his assist and rebound rates, though his FG% would probably dip as a result of more unassisted attempts as the primary big.
I'm not as sold on Danny upping his game much more as a result of Manu retiring. I just think the role would be filled by someone else on the roster and his stat bump would be marginal. The only change from his current role is that he'd be on the floor more in crunch time.
TD and Manu have absolutely no reason to retire given the level they are performing.
Stupid thread.

Doesn't mean it won't happen.
