Fowler. they need an edge rusher above all, he's the best fit of all of them to be a 4-3 DE, and he played at Florida

other than the hometown factor, the jags do need a lot of pieces but fowler would make the biggest impact. after williams, he's the best DL and best pass rusher. i don't see them grabbing a wr this early. if they don't take fowler, they'll probably trade down.

there are some other pass rushers (best one is beasley, tbh), but those guys are built to be 3-4 OLB's, and i dont know if they have the size to be full time 4-3 DE's. beasley is the only one that might, he's sorta built like Mack

Blown knee within the 1st hour of Training Camp

My friend and I watched Fowler in the Pre-Draft coverage. We both had a gigantic laugh at the thought of our teams drafting him. The guy was wearing gold shoes and speaking of his dreams of Movies and Music. LOL @ any Top 5 Pick GM watching that and not running

Dont be a prick just for the sake of being one. Any one can get injured at any time. It's proven every ing year. Why target this guy to poke fun of? They all have hopes and aspirations.

It was apparent this guy had suspect goals/drive, especially coming off games last season where he went soft in the 4th Quarter

Fowler is obviously a Defensive Lineman with Wide Receiver personality and engine. I'm not celebrating his injury, just saying I wouldn't touch this guy with a Top 5 pick.

hindsight is always 20/20 though. I didn't think he should've went before Big Cat Williams but i'm a USC loyalist. These things happen but it was preventable. Here's to hoping he can come back.

You see my point though right? Guy is openly speaking of his Movie/Music inspirations before even being drafted into the NFL Draft. The Jags GM had to have heard the same talk when he was interviewing him.

Guy gets drafted. Gigantic payday. Probably already writing up his HOF speech and choosing Hollywood co-star. Far different than the white trash or angry black defensive lineman that live and breathe football.

Fowler was born with god given talent and that allowed him to be successful up to this point. But his mind is elsewhere. He won't put his neck on the line for the Jags. I know Jax are dying for a Franchise Face and maybe for that reason they liked the movie/music talk.

You do have a point but then again the draft and professional athletes are a crap shoot. Would you, as a 49er fan select Chris Borland again? I mean He retired before even hitting his prime. So his heart wasn't in it either. I see what you are getting at but you have to realize that all of these college athletes who are part of what? the 5% that will ever et more than a rookie contract believe their own hype so it'll be hard to really draft someone who'll do the Fowler or even pull a Borland these days. Then you have to look at the Jags and they need talent so I don't know. Williams should've been picked.

Im not trying to efight but ive heard the complete opposite of what your saying. Fowler was a high motor guy that played all downs and did not take plays off ala Clowney. No Injury concerns and played multiple positions on the line. Maybe that is why he showed some fatigue in the 4th because he was the gators best linemen. As a matter of fact the GM and HC were on record as having looked specifically at all his snaps to see what if any plays he would take off. They didnt find any. In Jacksonville he will play the Leo position and on a 3 down one position basis. He did not have drug issues and was not a locker room cancer. All indications are that hes a good kid. He just happen to snap his ing leg.
