Spurs win draft lottery !!!!!!!!!!
But being new to the site, and supremely bored on a late holiday evening, I wondered as to everyone's defining non-game moments as Spurs fans.
I have a few:
1. 00 getting sick
2. Ice getting traded for Greenwood
3. Draft Day party when the Arena booed over picking Sean instead of DF
4. Flirting with CWebb in the Admiral's FA offseason
5. David not forgeting that and going after Timmy to re-sign
6. 2003 Finals as David walked off the floor for the last time as a champion (when was the last time a first-ballot HOFer retired as a champ?)

Spurs win draft lottery !!!!!!!!!!
And I thought maybe you were going to say the '85 draft with Alfredrick Hughes!![]()
Bill Russell, 1969.
Maybe Sam Jones, too, in the same game. I can't remember if he was first-ballot or not.
I JUST remember jumpin up and down and singing "we are the champions!!!!""![]()
As I like to remind these Rocket fans over here, it sure wasn't The Dream!![]()
But seriously, that is a heavy dose of sports symbolism to be compared to Russell for most of your career (as a defensive minded player and one of the good guys), then to go out on top like he did, other than racking up 9 in a row obviously.
btw, I love the Dahill commercials that get aired over here!
Sean was drafted third after Never Nervous Pervis and Danny Ferry.3. Draft Day party when the Arena booed over picking Sean instead of DF

Correct. It was the displeasure of not getting DF and settling for Sean. My apologies for making the situation seem like they had a choice between the two.
Funny how a year in Europe and all those mediocre, if not outright bad Cavs teams tempered that disappointment over the years.
You got those two backwards. David went after Timmy to re-sign in 2000, and the CWebb flirtation was in 2001.4. Flirting with CWebb in the Admiral's FA offseason

Jordan could have done it if he weren't such a dumbass. He actually had two opportunities, but I think his first retirement after the original 3-peat would have been premature. He should have stayed retired after the second 3-peat, though. His time in a Wiz uniform was just plain sad for those who remember him just wrecking the league on a nightly basis.6. 2003 Finals as David walked off the floor for the last time as a champion (when was the last time a first-ballot HOFer retired as a champ?)
Do we technically have to consider the Wiz Era as part of his career?
David going out on top, that was great, one of the better NBA memories.
