When asked what he thought about Spurs fans chanting "MVP" for him on Sunday, Leonard said "I dunno. I'm not about to be this season's MVP."
this is awesome
Hey guys,
Just wanted to pass along my column from San Antonio yesterday on Kawhi Leonard's rise to supers om. Let me know what you guys think.

I enjoyed the article, but the lengths to which you go to use the $5 words tends to get my eyes rolling. It also produces results such as calling Kawhi an "affluent wing." Of course he is wealthy, and apparently it is an archaic term meaning "freely flowing", but that is awkward word choice.
Yeah you're definitely overdoing it, Mark. Try to lay off Word's synonym feature tbh.
Otherwise it was a good read.
Some guys were shouting MVP when he was shooting freethrows. I joined in the second time around.![]()
I like the overall content of the article but I agree that you may be trying too hard.
This is a perfect example...
But as awesome and as extravagant as those moments can be none of them seem to be quite as galvanizing as Kawhi Leonard's scintillating banditry.
Just an awkward sentence...as,as,as,as,,as...scintillating banditry...ugh.
I find the most enjoyable sports columns to be one's where the author is eloquent but stays within the bounds of how guys actually might speak to each other. Of course the overall content always has to be there but I think you did really well in that respect.

Your writing is a bit perorative, but I enjoy reading such stilted descriptions, so thank you!
Keep up the good work.
Don't mind the haters..great work OP.
