Top: Dr Fredric Brandt
Below:
Startling resemblance: Dr 'Franff' (played by Martin Short) – his name was Grant, but Franff is how he pronounced it due to all the surgery and injectables he'd presumably had - is lampooned in Tina Fey's Netflix show Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

He had to be pretty unstable to begin with. Can't blame the show.
Still a one and done show. They cant possibly keep making a show after the person you're making fun of blows his head off.
I've only seen Ep 1. I doubt he's a major character.

It's the funniest episode of the series![]()
100% blame Feys show? No.
Absolutley a contributing factor.
People who go to great lengths to change themselves and never find a stopping point are often ripe for suicide. They aren't happy about some aspect of themselves, whether it's a gender role they want to fill and be accepted into or an appearance they want to achieve. Many hate themselves from childhood through peer pressure and incessant meditation on being a particular concocted image that they just cannot ever get to.
When they've exhausted their resources, mental, physical and financial, they realize often that others will never fully mentally transition to accept them as they want to be seen, so it's all for nothing and they punch out.
Best thing about it is that they go alone. Most are too vain to take anyone else.
Another 2 sad aspects to this is Brandt was "being seen daily"by psychiatrist Dr. Saida Koita. (Can we assume she was billing him daily?)![]()
Or maybe they were trading services. She looks like she has been pumped with filler too.
and According to a Miami police report, John Joseph Hupert was the friend was staying with Brandt “due to suicidal concerns for the deceased.”
Not blaming Hupert but i mean , wasn't there some arrangement to keep a closer eye on the guy? Again, not blaming Hupert as one cannot watch another 24 hrs a day but one just wonders where Hupert was when Brandt hung himself. Sounds like a team effort with more people helping Hupert watch was in order. Which Brandt may have vetoed.
