I would love for the Clippers to end up in that 5 seed so they run into the Dubs. Would be a win-win for our guys.
The games potentially relevant to the Spurs' seeding are:
Rockets @ Hornets
Grizzlies @ Warriors
Nuggets @ Clippers
Pelicans @ Timberwolves and Blazers @ Thunder could be relevant because if the Pelicans win and the Thunder lose, the Pelicans will lock up #8 and might not play hard on Wednesday against the Spurs.
So are we rooting for the Rockets, Warriors, Nuggets, Pelicans, and Blazers? Given that the Spurs need the Rockets to be involved in any 3 or 4 way tie, that might be the order of importance.

Go Warriors, Go Blazers. Pelicans don't need us to root for them for them to beat the damn Wolves lol. Best case scenario
Blazers beat Thunder and Pelicans trounce Wolves thus making the Pelicans a lock for the 8 seed and removing the need for them to go full steam against us our last game
Warriors beat Grizzlies then it doesn't matter what Rockets do last two games of season, Can't trust them to beat Gobert and the Jazz considering they got handled the last time.
A Warriors win makes things simple. A win for the Spurs in New Orleans would then clinch the second seed, no matter what the outcomes are of any other games.
This. Dubs over Grizz is the most important. That resolves most of the other issues. In fact, if the Grizz lose, then we'd prefer the Rockets to lose too. Then the Spurs would clinch no worse than #3 before they even play G82. And I'm definitely pulling for the Pelicans and against the Thunder. The Pels could clinch a playoff spot, potentially making the Spurs last game a little less intense.
you root for Griz to lose IMO.
Although round 1 vs the depleted Blazers would not be bad at all. might prefer it over going 7 games again vs mavs and spur killer Monta and JimCarey
Kerr has said that his main guys will play tonight. The Grizz are possibly without Conley, Gasol, and Allen.
I think Memphis is probably resigned to the 6th seed where they can give the Clippers a good series IMO.
2nd - Spurs
3rd - Clippers
4th - POR
5th - HOU
6th - Memphis
I really hope the Peli's can clinch the 8th seed tonight. Not looking forward to a do or die game in the final game of the regular season tbh.
Who is hurt for the Blazers? Haven't been keeping up with them .
Mathews done for season
Wright done for season
Affalo might be done
Aldridge foot injury
etc etc
Non-issue
Go hornets warriors and nuggets and we clinch the 2 seed today
Warriors, nuggets, hornets.
Warriors win is the most important, the others can go themselves.
Someone made a good point about it might be better to play GS earlier than later. If they have 2 rounds to get into a rhythm they'd be a tougher out in the WCF. There's some truth to that IMO, but at the same time, the same case could be made for us.
I'd prefer the 2 seed. Don't care where the others finish.
Westbrook's T from Sunday has been rescinded and he will not be suspended for PRT/OKC tonight.
Second technical the league has rescinded in the last month for RW:
Gives Westbrook the league lead in two additional categories:
Westbrook can literally murder someone on the court and have nothing happen.
I'd rather play GSW sooner than later also. I don't think there is anyway they get knocked out by anyone. Spurs are hot right now. After 2 rounds, we could be pretty beat up.
How do they decide on whether to rescind or not?
Well put![]()
What a load of . His technical should stand, especially since he already had one rescinded...
I want Warriors in WCF
The pressure of that big of a spotlight will crush them
If Houston winds up 5th it will be unfortunate. Dubs will be guaranteed at least two series where they won't have to break a sweat.
Then again, we would get to watch Jason Terry try to guard Curry
Hope for a miraculous Clippers loss, tbh..
Clippers, Grizz, and Houston losing would lock the 2 seed up for the Spurs.
