The Kingslayer should win DPOY. Draymond will probably win because he has been campaigning for it. If Green wins he should thank Iggy and Bogut for being the real DPOY.

Whatever, we know Kawhi is a max guy with or without the award. Giving Draymond the award will just cause some team to bid him up to (near) the max. Will force into a tough decision considering five other guys are already slated to make over $11mm next year. Already at $83mm without Draymond, so could easily be near $100mm unless Lee is shipped out. Depends on how badly ownership wants to win vs. pay fat luxury tax check. They aren't taxpayers this year, but that flips next year.

And imagine if they had Curry at the max instead of on his discounted deal!

Draymond will get the max in free agency if he wants it, and the Warriors will have to match it. I think a smart team will try and steal Barnes in 2016, the warriors will be wary of paying him big money with Curry getting $35m+ in 2017 when the cap is $100m.
