    I'm sure some people download for free, but I'm leery of crap files/spyware off of bittorrent and kazaa -- I found a site that sells mp3s for about .08 -.10 a song, and whole albums for about 80 cents.

    are but a few of the good ones for music. You get full cds for mirc. You just have to have a site like packetnews.com that lists the files, or know how to find files on a channel.
