Thank Duncan for carrying you to 5 rings asshole
People actually take credit from the players because they played for this overrated![]()
Spoken like a real got, but it is true that the decision to hack a Jordan in that 2nd quarter is possibly his worst in game decision ever. (at least taking Duncan out during 6 had some sort of reasoning behind it)
Lol yeah cause Pop is the one who has turned the ball over 9 times in the first half![]()
Damn...Pop went from one of the greatest coaches of all time last June to the most overrated coach in history in just 10 months.
That's impressive.
Casuals will never doubt this guy...
They turned the ball over 8 times in the 1st quarter and went on to take a 10 pt lead in the 2nd when Pop decided to hack a .
But of course you didnt realize that, got.
I wouldn't go that far. He is a great coach but unfortunately his biggest flaw is at times he over thinks himself and sometimes it costs the spurs dearly like his subs utions in 6 or when he played small ball against the Mavs in '06.
DIdnt say he wasnt great. But a lot of people have this guy as the greatest coach of all time, clearly he's not![]()
Y'all act like 10 point leads in the 2nd quarter are usually insurmountable.
I don't like the decision either but step away from the cliff.
Pop is GOAT but like all geniuses he has his ridiculously stupid moments unfortunately.
rofl the one game where Hack a Jordan was actually pretty effective and people are ting on Pop. The team played like on both ends the moment he stopped doing it. Marco bailed the offense out in the first half, and CP3 bailed the defense out. We're playing like right now, and lucky to be tied tbh
Pop has to gamble more than just about any other coach to make up for his aging stars and weaker overall roster.
Sometimes, it backfires. Hindsight is 20/20, Clippers got very frustrated at one point and Spurs had a chance to blow the game open, they just didn't play well enough. My only beef was using a foul from Duncan on hacking, terrible mistake there.
Did you really think Beli's 4 of 4 from downtown was sustainable? Pop tried to lock in the gains.
20.00 on the game?
I got the Clippers.
He's not overrated - still the best coach in the NBA. Unfortunately, the non-stop praise from the media has given him a ridiculous ego that's resulted in him overcoaching far too often these days. They've been saying Pop's the most important component of the Spurs so much the past few years that I think Pop himself believes it now. He doesn't even trust his own players anymore without micromanaging everything they do on the court.
Want to trade coaches? We'll throw in Doc Jr. for free.
You call having a 10 pt lead go down to 0 effective? How do you get your work done?
Lets not go overboard.
However, Pop needs to take his own advice and get over himself. He has fallen in love with his own idea and is sticking to it despite the evidence against it.
Why do these ty posters always overreact. So ing annoying year after year.
I'll take that action
Key words. "They played like when he stopped doing it" ... You can't be this stupid. That's what hacking is for, to get both teams out of rhythm... Problem is they weren't in rhythm in the first place! They were 1/9 from three and Choke Paul is 0/7
