His age has caught up with him and it's obvious in the Spurs' shooting. Saturday could be the last time we see Chip influenced shots coming from the Spurs' hands.
Chip had a great run and will always be appreciated.

He was good but does deserve some criticism for never teaching that French blimp how to shoot properly.

What are you talking about. TP was A HORRIBLE SHOOTER when he first came to the Spurs. Didn't he shoot like in the 60's on FT's. Chip made him a decent to good mid range shooter.

Its you can't fix a person's mindset. TP thinks he is 3 years younger and still can run circles around anyone. Game should have ended yesterday but Mr. Dribble forgot how to pass when the Spurs were up 10 yesterday.

I don't know if Chip should get credit for all of that. TP should have found some kind of 3 point shot over his career IMO. There are high school girls with bad form that can shoot better than TP. From NBA distance. He should have just worked on a two handed set shot.

TP's inability to shoot the threeball has always handicapped this team and limited the offensive ceiling of the Spurs. Someone like Nash would have been LETHAL on the Spurs.

This. Maybe some of you weren't watching back then or forgot. Tony used to burn passed people in the regular season, but in the playoffs, teams would just pack the paint and he was useless. As useless as he's been this whole series. He went to work on his jumpshot, and turned it into a legit weapon. Teams were slow to guard him on it, but he got so automatic on it, that the pendulum has swung the other way. The Clippers were guarding him on that jumper early in the series, but he's shot so woefully, that they are now giving him the open jumper.

I agree with that 100%. I think there's at least 1 extra ring if they had Nash. I think even Kidd, who actually developed a decent 3 point shot late in his career, would have made them better.

Clearly past his prime. Time to let Chad Forcier take the starting spot, and bring Chip off the bench, tbh
