Chicago/Boston 2009 is by far the best first round matchup I have ever seen.
Tbh, I can't remember such an entertaining first round, minus that one Dallas / GS series.
Chicago/Boston 2009 is by far the best first round matchup I have ever seen.
O yeah all those OT games, but Chicago wasn't really a good team tbh, both these teams are good.
it is if you include the fact that this is the current champ and this might be the last dance of the Spurs Dynasty
Heat/Knicks '98 and '99 first round series. Both series went the distance.
2010 Spurs-Grizzlies was pretty compe ive too... Spurs also coming out of a chip... Enrique also ting the bed, etc...
the quality is actually pretty bad, lots of bonehead moves on both sides.
This great intensity some great plays but followed by poor play, guys missing shots they don't normally, hack a Jordan, choke plays ...
But I have enjoyed it still ...
Rockets-Jazz in 1995, Blazers-Mavs in 2003, etc...
On a side note, Spurs-Suns in 2008 had the potential but the Suns didn't show up much after Game 1. There were more Hall-of-Famers (or near-misses) on the court than you can count.
The games were close, but the quality of the basketball was atrocious. Sloppy sloppy sloppy play. Unforced turnovers all over the place. People confuse good defence for bad offense. This wasn't good defense. It was just Rondo and Gordon being super sloppy...
As tough as the ending was to take, the 1989 Cavs-Bulls series was terrific. Game 5 was as good of an NBA game as you'll ever see, particularly the fourth quarter.
The 1999 Kings-Jazz first-rounder was a classic too.
The close scores and drama make it interesting, but the basketball play overall has not been good. There has been moments for both teams, but games are being decided by mistakes rather than proficiency.
Yeah, it sounds biased but Rockets-Jazz in 1995 was much better, granted there were fewer close games.
outside of duncan and kawhi for 2 games the spurs have played like dog
Not really. Too many blowouts, and both teams have had a couple of terrible games. Its been good, not great.
spurs gettin open looks but not hitting them, cause they all taking a as we typing
^ I need ya to be reckless another 25 hours.
That's all.
Don't try and be nice to me now, Ooze. Too much water has gone under the bridge. I'll remind you that your mother will love you no matter what you do, because she is a woman, and I love you too, son. But, I also love our country and the principles on which it stands. And if you decide to burn your draft card you can burn your birth certificate at the same time. From that moment on I have no son.
yea pretty much. each game was decided by "who can choke harder" each game except for game 3
The 2009 Bulls - Celtics series was so awesome but it zapped the Celtics and they fell short. Of course Garnett not being there also was a factor, but they ran out of gas.
If they advanced to the ECF instead of Orlando, things might have been different. We could've been in for a troika of Lakers-Celtics Finals, or LeBron and Kobe could've been in a Finals series.
del Negro
Chicago not having any timeouts to advance the ball
