Tim and Manu back if it's at a price for us to bring in a marquee free agent
Win tonight, bye bye Tim+Manu!
Lose tonight, the show goes on for one more year!
If you had to choose between:
a) "Winning tonight while Tim+Manu declare their retirement ofter these playoffs in the presser afterwards"
and
b) "Losing tonight, while Tim+Manu declare coming back for another season (and only one season)"
, what would you choose?
...and yeah, you gotta take Manu with Tim, even if you don't like it! :P
Tim and Manu back if it's at a price for us to bring in a marquee free agent
Too many variables.. Need to know if they'd come back for peanuts.
i've thought this would be manu's last year since the year before last.
i can see tim playing another year, maybe two. his production is amazing at his age...
on a sidenote, manu could take half the season off. sign with us in january. and maybe more rejuvenated?
Both!
no option 3? a win tonight and lose Manu but keep Timmy would win by a mile
Not sure if posted yet but a guy put up a nice Undertaker/Wrestlemania idea for Timmy on Bill Simmons' mailbag column.
http://grantland.com/the-triangle/th...rday-decision/Q: I believe that Tim Duncan can go on playing at this level for a few more years. But instead of retiring, why not follow the trail that The Undertaker is currently blazing? What if he stayed in shape, but only played a few regular season games per year to stay sharp, then saved himself for 20-25 playoff games (i.e. WrestleMania). Couldn’t he extend his career by another five years by doing this? This is a win/win situation for all!
