No, I don't. Not benching one of the worst players in the playoffs says to me that he doesn't give a , tbh. Not to mention pulling Marco and Mills until there was a minute left in Game 6.
Do you guys think Pop still has the same passion for the game, tbh?
Obviously none of us know the actual answer, but he's 66 years old, and everybody gets burnt out at some point, especially in such a stressful job(relatively, of course)..after coaching such a poor series and the impending retirements of Duncan/Manu in the next couple of years(or maybe as early as this off-season), do you expect him to remain here for much longer?

He said on the presser that the paycheck is pretty good, so he'll likely be back.... ill take him at his word, tbh
No he doesn't and it really showed. Pop is up there with Phil Jackson for most overrated coaches in NBA history. No Duncan no rings, that simple.
He shouldn't be back. Maybe he gets hit by a bus in Napa valley

Going away from your big three to using others for that role is hard
Sometimes players make the play sometimes not
Leonard needs to be healthy in training camp and splitter
Pop has to use Leonard more
Big Two. Went away from that tonight and opted to give that French role player free reign to shoot the Spurs out of the playoffs.
Pop was just being stubborn and going with the guy who used to be great, hoping he'd find it again. Despite the recent revisionist history Parker was a monster up to and including 2013.
I'd lose my passion too knowing that the guy that made my HOF career is about to retire.
Good Ze Pequeno pic btw
I wonder if he's simply sticking around to ease the transition into the next phase for a year or 2, tbh..and the money, of course..
I think he's playing house money, tbh. It's different when you're coaching for your job. Pop isn't . He can basically do whatever the he wants and get away with it.
Not saying he doesn't care, but he's around long enough and has enough job security/a great resume to where he can be coy and casual regardless of the outcome of the seasons. He understands the biz.
It's a hungry man's game. They were playing for something last year. Got contented again on a possible repeat year. During the presser, I was wondering how much of it was Pop being a good loser, and how much was Pop just not caring so much about the first-round exit. He's still one of the best coaches out there, even after this series.
Of course he's still a great coach, but there comes a point for everybody when they're burnt out, even temporarily..
Being an NBA coach may seem like a cushy job, but you're still traveling all year and constantly stressed during games, especially a guy like Pop that has a pretty bad temper..
Pop doesn't have a temper anymore. Even when his team themselves he was calm, cool, and apathetic.
The question is are the players tired of his . Last two games Timmy does not seem pleased with him.
Duncan is a luxury no doubt, having him did not HURT.
TD said that last year, nobody on the roster was more driven to win than Pop. I still contend that even on "down" years, he's got the team's long term success in mind. I can't help but give him the benefit of the doubt after the run the Spurs have had during his tenure. This season may one day be remembered for being the year Pop started giving the keys to Kawhi. He won't always make perfect decisions and the team won't always play brilliantly under him. It's infuriating, as a fan, but I'll take the bad with the good.
It's not as bad as it used to be, but he still had many rage-fits this year..
He'll have plenty of ing time to decide that this summer.
Someone made a good point. The Spurs still had 1 more timeout. The Clippers pull that nonsense with the buzzer. He should have called another timeout and changed the play slightly just to keep the Clippers players of balance.
Yeah, he's mentally spent. You could tell the entire season. Hopefully, a long offseason gives him some fire for next year...
and hopefully TP burns in that fire tbh.
