I know we're all scarred by .4 and by Manu's foul on Dirk in '06, but imagine how Spurs history could have changed because of a repeat. A repeat would have had such a psychological affect on the Big 3. I doubt they would have played as hard for as long as they have. Heck, a repeat in '06 could have led to a letdown the next season, so the le in '07 may never have happened.

Plus, "6" would have never happened, and the ultimate payback last season would have never happened.

I'll take 5 les and two decades of greatness instead of two les in a repeat (see '94-'95 Rockets and Bad Boys Pistons) followed by years of mediocrity anytime.

I for one am grateful the Spurs never repeated.

The San Antonio Spurs is the more respected team in the NBA outside of the United States.

I know Americans are not into international consensus, but for me that´s the max, the world recognizes this big 3 and the Spurs as the greatest in the NBA, enough is enough.

Those 5 les in two decades (Actually three since one was in 99) over a little two year run some of those teams had and then fading out, longevity is crazy! That is way more impressive IMO. They never repeated but they did it longer than anyone else, period. Well said though on all fronts.

I hear nothing but respect for them honestly, when anyone talks it's respect. Most of these teams have 0 les and very few have even had a run like the older Spurs from 012-14 to even speak of, doubt they are laughing Kool.

What the does this even mean? It must be opposite day b/c what you just said is ridiculously untrue. The Bucks losing by 54 pts to Chicago at home in an elimination game is the first thing that comes to mind as being a god damn laughing stock.

It seems like we can only win when we don't get picked to win.
