A lob pass to Leonard? That was the play Pop drew up with a full second left? We should have gone for three and the series win! Even if he converts that, we still have to play OT where we probably lose.
If there were fractions of a second, then I would have agreed with the play call. But a full second is plenty of time for a catch and shoot.
Griffin was tight on Kawhi in that moment. Maybe Pop was hoping there'd be a foul as kawhi caught the lob, so best case scenario it'd be an and-1 play for the win, but it could also be a quick layup/dunk for a tie, or Kawhi shooting 2 for a tie. That said, Kawhi shooting 2 free throws with the season in the balance doesn't exactly inspire confidence...
Mills or Marco 3, don't know wtf Pop was thinking. Oh well, we weren't going far with Parker playing as bad as he has anyways.
