Even the Hornets (now Pelicans) agreed to this deal and both teams were just awaiting the league's approval for the deal to go through, but Stern vetoed it and instead accepted the Clippers offer than included Cornerstone.
And it reminds me of another failed trade which, if done, would've changed the championship map dramatically. The Hornets and Thunder agreed to a deal that would send big daddy Tyson to OKC, but finally the proposed deal fell through because Tyson failed medical. Just imagine how many championships Durant and Westchuck would've won together with TC, and how many more years (if not ever) the Mavs would've had to wait before winning a championship.
