he'd provide some solid scoring down low which would help and make the Spurs hard to defend sometimes

Gasol is soft. The answer is Duncan though.

LMA is a billion times better than splitter. I just don't know, given the current scoring situation, if LMA is better than 2-3 we have to give up.

    Aldridge is soft.

Spurs fan will once again be heartbroken when Aldridge announces his return to Portland..but they won't know it's actually a blessing to miss out..Aldridge is soft..has no real athleticism of note that will extend beyond maybe two more years and if that it will decline..like a poster above said he is a sg in a forward's body..

Well let's see. Wade no longer has an athleticism of note and that is actually true. Even better he is leveraging for another 3 year after opting out for more than what Aldridge is set to make.

Oh and KD's lisfranc injury is healing poorly.

If we do land him, I consider him a replacement for Tim Duncan once he retires. Tim doesn't do much downlow banging these days and is an accurate mid-range shooter. It's true he's not a prototypical "big man", but he'd be the best skill player at that position we've had in years and that is obviously an improvement to Splitter even if we lose some defense on that end.

Playing them last year, I was always concerned when Aldridge started driving to the rim.. He missed a lot of bunnies and easy ones though.. if we can make him improve a bit, he would make GSW's small ball vanish real fast. No way Draymond defends him

Plus, if they defend him with Bogut we post up Diaw on the other big, who will also have really hard time defending.. and if they help on Diaw now has a huge target in Aldrige who can just catch and shoot and *swish*
