Like we discussed, things have really changed in Laker land. It was the beginning when Pau and Dwight turned them down. But no one was ready to say things changed just yet. But whiffing on LmA in spectacular fashion. Whiffing on Love. Things have changed.

LA is no longer that FA destination they once were. They will get guys eventually, but they no longer have anyone scared at all.

I don't see a dominate big in the bunch. Cavs got better without Love. LMA choke every playoffs. And Jordan would be a fool to leave Paul. What would disappoint me is if we throw large cash at no name players. Monroe shouldn't even be considered.

I agree. I'm not even saying LA is in a bad spot because they whiffed. But it's about the fact that the new management lost all crediblity with Kobe's deal and Pau/Dwight slapping them in the face.

Never before has LA whiffed (whether the players were worth it or not) when they had the same money to offer as everyone else. They always got their man. Now, they are human like everyone else. Management will have to adjust and learn to live with their new reality.

Luckily for Laker fans, them whiffing is probably a blessing in disguise since they shouldn't have been going after these guys anyways.

Meanwhile, he's gonna resign with the Clippers. Kinda like when you take some chick off Tinder to dinner and spend $$$$, then drop her off at 11:30 and then she texts her buddy to come over right afterwards.

No - I did and I have time stamped proof. You also didn't say the same thing. You played a chickensh*t card and said "LA wasn't really trying".

The Mavs biggest free agent acquisitions include a washed-up Fat Lever and Alex English and OJ Mayo. The day we nab a big-name star in Free Agency I'll believe it when I see it.

DJ met with Mavs owner Mark Cuban, Dirk Nowitzki, Coach Rick Carlisle, prez Donnie Nelson. Was told DJ felt "Dallas set the bar high."
Mavs know how to play that Beta Bucks game real well.

I would not go down the FT fiasco. That alone (and there is more) is enough for me to pass. Let somebody else buy it. I can get more out of him as an opponent than I can as a team member.

He's only 26 and he's been put through the ringer with Pop's recent strategy (disaster). I'm assuming he's working hard on improving his percentage this Summer, so I'm not too concerned with that at all tbh

There's a lot of upside to DJ -he's an athletic freak at 6'11. Centers like him don't grow on trees; he's a rare talent -worth the risk.
