This could be redemption for the time that Red McCombs vetoed Bob Bass' trade of Willie Anderson and Terry mings for Charles Barkley. If McCombs doesn't veto that, it's probably the Spurs and not the Suns making the Finals, tbh.

Right, but then McCombs thinks he understands basketball as much as he understands selling rednecks used cars (need to find the quote) and then we're stuck with him trying to Sterling the league for the next two decades. If he hasn't moved the team to Anaheim or wherever.

Part of me is thankful for Mccombs cause he helped keep the Spurs in San Antonio.

But damn was that er cheap as , and probably cost the Spurs a shot at at least another Finals or two with the utter garbage he surrounded prime David Robinson with.

No coincidence that the Vikings got a new stadium somewhat soon after he sold the team, tbh.

"McCombs, 87, said he left the room and called John Lucas, who agreed to coach the team."

    Give it to David.

Yeah, when you don't know how to call a 20-second timeout, coaching in the NBA is probably not for you.

Rest his soul (Tark that is), but that was a stupid decision by McCombs.

Talk about being beyond overmatched. Bringing in Lloyd Daniels in conjuction was funny as well.

Mo Cheeks ing hated SA. He lived in a hotel his entire time.

Surely someone has a picture of McCombs sitting courtside with the posterboard with "I'm Sorry, Rod" written on it.
