oh gtfo. is there ever a free agent the spurs aren't "interested" in??
http://projectspurs.com/2015-article...e-stoudemire-2
The 32-year-old spent part of last season with the Dallas Mavericks after being waived by the New York Knicks. Stoudemire averaged 10.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game in 23 games with Dallas last season. The Clippers, Lakers, Suns and Mavericks are all said to be interested in Stoudemire.
However, Dallas came to an agreement with free agent center DeAndre Jordan on a four-year, $80 million deal on Friday. This likely means Stoudemire is done in Dallas and might sign elsewhere. If you recall last February, the Spurs were also linked to have an interest in Stoudemire when he was waived by the Knicks.
The Spurs may have to wait for Aldridge’s decision over the holiday weekend, but that isn’t stopping them from looking around the league.

Here we go again with the spurs name being floated out there. he will come here, but that's only if all the other teams turn him down.
Please do not give a contract to the corpse of Amare.
of course they are.![]()
Amare and West will provide more than LMA. Gives room for a decent backup SF. Let the Suns have him.
Honestly wouldn't be a bad addition for the vet minimum as a 4th/5th big. He is done contributing as a focal point but is nowhere near completely done imo. Stoudemire >>> Ayres and Bonner, tbh
What? This isn't 2008.
can this reach 5 pages?![]()
Not bad as a backup. I don't give a crap about the past, I want to win now. Bring him and Ray Allen on, if he can still go.
Pink this man.
It better not reach 5 pages.
Possible if LMA went to Phoenix
Those 3 pointers off the bench aren't gonna shoot themselves.
Would absolutely have him if he was willing to take the min.
Mills got this , tbh.
Do you prefer West or Amare?
He can be plan B if West doesn't join
PPG is not an indication of how well a big will do with the Spurs offensively, but rather FG % is. LMA is a career 48% FG%, and which is exactly what he had averaged over the last four years. he has averaged 67 games per season, and was injured at the end of last year.
Amare is two years older and was often injured the last four years, but is still more athletic than LMA. He could benefit from pop's minute management. He has averaged 50 games per year over the last four years, but is considered healthy now. His career FG% is 53%, while he averaged 54% over the last four years. He is far, and away more efficient than LMA, and Amare will have no problem playing center when asked
Add West to the mix, and I think you actually may have a better fit team wise than LMA. Splitter by the way is a 54% FG percentage, while averaging 54 games over the last two years.
Better him than Errors.
West. Brings toughness Amare never had.
