"Que peut-on me faire?

With the day before Euro in Serbia, the team of France painfully starts to be but Tony Parker, him, finds the team of France boring.
It is what comes out from a maintenance without set language that double champion NBA granted to the Newspaper of Sunday.
The leader of Spurs, aggravated by the rules of life founded by the staff of Blue, feels obviously untouchable, at the point to be astonished by the ousting of Alain Digbeu or the freedoms granted to Fred Weis. Faintness...

After five defeats of at a stretch, the team of France seems to start to find some reference marks as testify some its three successes recorded in Limoges against the Ukraine, Bulgaria and Turkey.

But if France reassured itself in the Limousin on the parquet floor of Beaublanc, the slides seem always also agitated. Thus, Tony Parker, whose performances are with the tuning fork of the team, spreads himself in the press, making it clear that all does not turn perfectly round in the France group.

If it seems relatively trustful on the chances of France to take seat among the six first to tear off the qualification for the World one, Tony Parker estimates nevertheless that these Blue 2005 are quite lower than those of 2003 which one remembers the failure in Sweden.

But more than the level of team game of France, TP has difficulties in adapting to the blue discipline. The player of Spurs, does not have thus cease to stress that it yielded with the common rule while taking part in the training courses of preparation in one exhausting season spite NBA and reserves of sound coach, Gregg Popovich.

An effort which all the more weighs to him when Fred Weis, explains, for its part high and strong, why it refused to take part in the preparation to rest. At the time when it tries to join the Blue ones to mitigate the fixed price of Vincent Masingue, the least which one can say is that Parker does not hold an enthusiastic reception for him. "That makes me that it arrives while telling that it did not want to make the preparation whereas guys were stripped for one month and that one two undoubtedly will jump.

It is a question of respect.". Not very glamour the team of France... In the passing, not without forgetting to recall that it "does not tell it", TP wonders with high voice about the cogency of the training courses to the mountain "where one makes you run as insane whereas you leave one intense season". And to continue on the interest to play in Limoges rather than in Paris or on this discipline imposed by the staff which prohibits the presence of a camera to more close to the players, who prevents the latter telephoning their own way or from listening to music when good seems to them... Yes, it respects "all these decisions, in particular those of the coach", but Parker is astonished nevertheless setting with the variation by Alain Digbeu, "a guy experienced and indisputable in the group"...
In short, Tony Parker does not smell himself very well in this environment very distant from his daily newspaper in NBA and the fact knowledge and one can wonder whether it is really happy to be adventure for Euro.

If it played until there the chart of humility and if it yielded with the imposed rule of the game, the leader of Spurs seems to claim today a little more consideration, with the height of what it estimates to deserve have regard to his statute of superstar, without obviously being concerned with what its remarks could cost him.

Persuaded to be essential to the good walk of the team, Parker becomes somewhat conceited about it. "That can one make me? If the French are not content, Popovich will be delighted by see me remaining in San Antonio the next summers."
A threat which it seems to dream to put at execution...

so here is a quick summary:

TP is getting tired of the rules that have been implemented by the French staff
which is not letting players calling their relatives or listening to music at their wil.
He's also questionning the trip to the mountains where players had to run
like crazy while most of them were tired after playing the whole season.
He's also criticizing the arrival of Fred Weis (a center that was drafter by the Knicks a few years ago and dunked by Carter during the olympics..) because Weis said he didn't participate to the mountain trip to rest while other players close to TP such as Alain Digbeu put a lot of effort and wasn't selected. TP said it wasn't respectful.

TP is not feeling good in this atmosphere, he respects all the decisions of the coach but he didn't understand the non selection of Digbeu who has experienced and deserved to be on the team.

FYI, the coach didn't select Digbeu saying "he was too good" or a like this..

TP also said that he thought that the 2005 French team wasn't as good as the 2003 squad and that this one was boring..

At last he said "What can you do to me? If French are not happy, Popovich will be glad to see me staying at San Antonio the upcoming summers".

Is there some animosity towards Parker in France? Didn't he have some conflict with the French team last year too?

I could see some people beginning to think he has gotten a little "big for his britches" in the last few years. I'm curious about how the French feel about him right now, all things considered.

hmm TP hasn't played for French team for 2 years if I'm right but yeah there was some conflict because when France lost at the Euro Games two years ago everyone thought Parker was the saviour and that he would make us win.
Unfortunately, it was too much pressure and he's not willing to be the captain once more.

Plus, he's got a lot of hate since he came to the NBA and the way he behave sometimes make him look like a jerk.

I'm kind of suprised of his comments, and what he's saying won't do any good to his image.

If what you're saying is true, then Parker needs an at ude adjustment. his celeb status has gone up to his head! Dude needs to chill. Anyway, if he decides to not play, this is good for the Spurs. The at ude doesn't fly with Pop, so thats not going to be a problem here.

NBA starter, 2 NBA rings, a huge multi-year contract, a huge house, a famous show-business girlfriend, fame, "la vie en rose" at 23 years old. And it will probably only get better for him.

Most 23-year-olds would get big heads. Sounds like Tony is no exception.

Sounds like the French team is a real mess, with or without Tony, who should have kept his mouth shut about it.

I can totally understand how he's feeling and why he's feeling that way.
BUT he should have kept that to himself . Especially sine I've noticed in a few intervies that TP has a hard time saying things in an esitly digestable way.
why can't he just tell the press what they want to hear?? \

    oh well, he's young.

Not that I have ever heard- but the basketball cultures in some other countries have a longer history of seriousness and stricter regiments. There are curfews, etc...
