What would you say to the salty people complaining that the Spurs are no longer built not bought.
I think it's bull , the Spurs are replacing a player's role who is turning 40 this season and has gotten it done before this signing many times.
Plus the big 3 was late round draft picks, Kawhi was not a top 5 or top 10 pick, and the role players were picked up on waivers and total "one man's trash is another man's treasure" situations.
Some serious salty tears going on around the NBA forums with this LMA move today and I don't want to hear it. Especially when Lebron has been doing it before even turning 30 years old and still not able to get it done. And these same people want to call him the GOAT. Lebron buys super teams but the Spurs can replace a retiring player's position?

Another thing to point out is that we had to lose a quality player in order to get LMA, something LeBron bought team's never do.
The false modesty of claiming to be superior because you've had to do it a harder way than others will ring a bit hollower now.

One big free agent signing doesn't destroy what we have done over the years. Good scouting, draft and stash, D league development , 10 day contracts , veteran signings, UDFA.
All have never taken away from the core players and the way we run our organization. LMA will complement the Hall of Famers , Kawai and the key role players and not control or dominate the team like Shaq , Kobe , Carmelo, Iverson and LaBron.
