Jerry forcing Jordan to retire cut MJ deep. He got choked up and started crying around the 6:30 mark.
You don’t poke a sleeping bear.
In 1999, between Michael Jordan’s second and third retirements, Chicago Bulls guard Corey Benjamin learned that the hard way.
Skip Bayless, writing for the Chicago Tribune at the time, reported that Benjamin had issued an "ill-advised challenge" to His Airness.
Jordan relentlessly abused the youngster, scoring on him with ease and talking all kinds of trash along the way. At one point, MJ told Benjamin exactly what he was going to do. “I’m going right back over there. C’mon, follow me. ... You reach, I teach.”
Turnaround jumper—cash.
MJ also told Benjamin to look around him, referencing all the banners he raised as a Bull.
The one-on-one game wasn’t close, and obviously Jordan won. As he sunk the game-winner, he told Benjamin to “sit down” and not to call him out again.
Vintage MJ.
Chicago players watched in awe as the greatest player of all time gave them all a reality check. Retirement couldn’t hold Jordan back—and neither could some young, y guard named Corey Benjamin.

GOAT just doing GOAT things. Nothing and no one else has come even remotely close to his God like ability.
Kobe did. You see that game when Kobe dropped 33 on MJ and Pip when he was inly 19?
If you had billions in the bank and everyone got on their knees for you in every imaginable way, you may get a little arrogant too.
Arrogant is one thing being a complete piece of is another.
Like I said, if people constantly kept reigning in compliments and did anything they could to be around, you then you might feel invincible as well. I don't excuse it but certainly understand why he is that way.
Corey Benjamin? That guy was horrible. I mean, he played what? Three seasons in the league? I doubt he had any positive contribution on any team he played for in the NBA.
Artest was trash talked by MJ, he proceed to break the GOATs ribs.
lol abusing a bunch of no names...
goat of bull against players who cant dribble with other hand, let alone none of those guys ever appeared on all defensive teams
He's the #1, there's no player who looks like they'll catch him yet.
It's funny how Kobe is such a rider, he even tries to emulate Jordan's mannerisms..
sociopath
Serial killers study each other.
Yeah, but Jordan kills his own father, while Kobe killed the Lakers franchise.
That is the truth, never looked at the dude the same after some stories I read about him after he retired. Dude is a true asshole in every sense of the word. Great player but a horrible person.
Oh he beat those guys too you mention, during the NBA season and playoffs.
While some cat named Charlie Hustle killed Jim's life savings.
Leaving Jim looking clueless outside a downtown courthouse.
