Not a cuban fan at all, but not even returning the calls? Classless move by DeAndre. Not sure where DJ's agent is in all this. May have thrown up his hands!

Im going to enjoy the ensuing dallas meltdown
I know the Mavs are our rivals. Still, business is business and that was a sleazy move by the Clips/DJ and his agent jilting Dallas like that without a courtesy call.
I agree. I hate the Mavs for the most part, but Mavs based their whole FA on this deal, early. All the other suitors that they probably would have made a play for have committed at this point. This is a low blow move by DJ. I hope the rest of league goes ham playing the Clips next year as a result.
In 4 years, when he's an FA again, I'm sure he'll get courted...but not by the Mavs, that's for sure.
I give credit to LMA after witnessing the DJ debacble. He met with many teams and multiple times to make sure he was making the right decision. DJ couldn't even man up and tell the Mavs organization himself. Ridiculous.
Jordan froze out his agent too.
I hate the Mavericks. I hate their fans. I hate Mark Cuban.
This is ed up. They don't deserve this. LA just pulled the ultimate bush-league move.
Does anyone else find it odd that the Clippers lost their center five full days ago, freeing up all that cap space, and didn't sign a replacement from the centers that were available? Then they waited until everyone else was gone and there were hours to go before the deadline to all converge in Houston at DJ's house.
Any reason to think this was a planned move? Did Cuban do or say something to or about the Clippers that might have prompted this?
@ roasting Broussard!
I hope Silver gives Cuban free reign on the Dallas jumbo trim when the Clips and Jordan come to town.
Yep...definitely not the Mavs. He will only be courted by others if the process changes and the signing is immediate or the commitment is binding.
It took 2 minutes for me to find his addressBroussard thinking Cuban didn't know it.
Jordan is the big man version of Gerald Wallace, it's hard to see him aging gracefully into his 30s.
broussad getting carried away in the melodrama

You're right. When that athleticism goes he's done.
He's taking his anger out on Broussad, who went out of his way to make Cuban look as foolish and desperate as possible. Needless to say, he won't be breaking any Mav news going forward.
Losing Jordan didn't mean freed cap space for clips.
Nope. The Clippers were over the cap anyway, so while they could re-sign Jordan with Bird rights, they couldn't offer that same salary to anyone else.
Meh, hate Cuban all you want, but the Clippers have become the most unlikable organization in the NBA the past few years, particularly because of Tom Rivers, tbh..I don't think there is any NBA figure I dislike more, including Phil Jackson..
I don't see how. The Mavs were a fringe playoff team last year. The Clippers are a dark-horse contender to win the conference. It doesn't make sense that they would go out of their way to sabotage the Mavs FA plans. What I'm guessing happened is that they kept lobbying him even after he made his commitment to Dallas and eventually convinced him to renege. Occam's Razor and all that.
How would the Spurs have handled this if say, Kawhi Leonard agreed to a deal with another team during the moratorium and then called up Pop and RC expressing second thoughts? I don't think they would have done what the Clippers did.
You would know better than I do the interactions Mark Cuban has had with Doc and Chris Paul, etc. over the years, but Cuban did make some inflammatory comments when SB bought the team. I did a quick search, and "I paved the way for him" and "I hope he s up" came up. Cuban has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. But your point is solid. If this was a calculated move, it's certainly personal and not basketball-related.
