Have you noticed the Spurs almost always never win when they're the favorites. I think that's why people don't pick them as the favorites that often. Hopefully they can break the cycle this season. Otherwise you can't really complain when people don't pick you as the favorites.

I loved that bad year. Even though we sucked.....I got to see "The Human Highlight Film" in a Spurs uniform, even though he was built more like Boris during that time. Also, those scrubs might not have had that much talent, but they fought, scraped, and gave great energy every game. I can accept the losing if you are giving all you have, knowing you are outgunned on a nightly basis. Then came the big reward at the end of the season, Tim Duncan.

But since 1989, the Spurs have been one of the top teams in the NBA
