NEW: Saints tickets go on sale Wednesday morning
Web Posted: 09/13/2005 03:28 PM CDT

    Tom Orsborn
    Express-News Staff Writer

The New Orleans Saints announced today that tickets for their three games at the Alamodome this season will go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Those interested in buying tickets should call the Saints at (210) 208-9520 or TicketMaster at (800) 877-0898.

Tickets are also available at the Alamodome box office and online at neworleanssaints.com and ticketmaster.com.

Prices for individual game tickets range from $30 to $125. Group packages range from $28 to $123. Tickets can also be bought in three-game packs ranging from $75 to $360.

The three games in San Antonio are Oct. 2 against Buffalo, Oct. 16 against Atlanta and Dec. 24 against Detroit. The Saints also will play four home games in Baton Rouge, La.

A portion of the revenue from ticket sales will go to the New Orleans Saints Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.

I'm in for all 3 games!

This is it people. Time to get off your asses and prove that we can support an NFL franchise. This is our one and only chance to prove it. Opportunity is knocking. And if we fail to pack the house and show our enthusiasm, the NFL will NEVER come knocking again. At least not in the near future.

I can almost see it now when I close my eyes.

It's the not-so-distant future. I'm in the Parking lot of the new and improved AlamoDome. I came early to experience what it's like to mill around some major-league tailgate parties. It's playoff time. The Packers are in town to play San Antonio. I spot a huge RV decked out in Packer green and yellow. The guy tending to the grill calls out to me. "Hey man, Wanna Wisconsin Brat?" yes. "Common over. Grab a Beer and sit down." I grab a cold one out of the cooler and sit down in the lawn chair. He hands me a Wisconsin style Bratwurst on a Hoagie with grilled onions on top. The steam from the Brat cuts through the cold air. I take a whiff just to make sure I'm not dreaming. The game will be starting in about an hour. I have a cold beer in one hand. A hot Brat sandwich in the other. Life is good.

Surprised at the high end of some of these prices... High end of Saint's tickets in NO were $90...

Other high end prices for other teams:

    Dallas - $93
    Oakland $91
    Seattle - $82
    New York - $90

    Oh well, I'll buy anyway.

The $125 seems a little high, but the other prices are pretty good.

    Other high ends:

    Panthers - $350
    Patriots - $125
    Broncos - $362

Many of those seats are out of my price range...however one NFL game can cost less than a full tank of gas! More likely its the Detroit-N.O. game for me.

If the city can sell out and show support, then so be it...we deserve a team here. BUT, it will take much more than those who post in any of these forums to make it happen. I see SA more as a place to fill Benson's pockets for a year, and the let down will continue.

BUT, we will always have YOUR 2005 NBA WORLD CHAMPIONS!

$90.00 Plaza Level are better than the club level $125.00 seats.

With the $90.00 you are closer to the action.

I would consider those the high end. Cause the Club level seats are limited seating and a little futher from the action.

Not as fast as some are making it out to be but they'll sell, particularly the Atlanta game.. Michael Vick in the dome?

Yes, I am going to that game because I want to see Vick. The Saints are cool though, I like Deuce McAllister.
